Default TrakPower V-Balance

Just to update LiPO users.

I just tested the TrakPower V-Balance LiPO balancer last night. Well I can say its a must for those who invested their hard earned $$$ on those precious little but explosive lithium-polymer and lithium-ion packs

I tested my two Peak Racing 4800 lipoly packs (2S), in passive (stand-alone mode) and checked using the built in "fuel gauge". The 1st pack registered about 50% charge since the last race I had, and both cells in the pack are almost equal in voltage. The 2nd pack registered about 30% since I still ran the pack even after the race, but is still within the safe level of above 3V/cell. They're a bit off as the balancer took sometime to equalize the pack. I verified using a DMM (digital multimeter) and one cell on the pack read 3.78V while the other 3.48V.

Next testing I made was balance-charging. The V-Balance does its job of "balance-charging" the pack, though not necessary since I already balanced them as above. This "balance-charging" is very useful if you have conditions similar to my "2nd" pack. After charging, the cell will be full-charged and balanced. If I didn't use a balance charger, the pack will reach full-charge but with the possibility of one cell getting over-charged. Warning though, balance charging takes a lot of time compared to standard (direct) charging.

Another good thing with the V-Balance is that it can be used to balance (passively), and balance charge other lipoly packs like those soft-cased lipos, and upto 6 cells (6S). I was able to test the V-Balance on my 3-cell and 4-cell lithium-polymer packs I used for my EP planes and heli.

Summary of features of the TrakPower V-Balance:
- balance charging (charge thru) of 2-6 cells, upto 10A
- passive balancing
- "fuel gauge" per pack, check the level of charge on your pack
- "fuel gauge" per cell, check the voltage level on EACH cell on your pack
- balance discharging (but not recommended to discharge lipolys)
- gold-plated connectors and cutie-pie gold metal-like casing
- fuse protected (10A)
- includes 2S harness for sealed Lipoly packs with balancing port (i.e. Peak Racing, Orion, TrakPower, etc.)
- balancing port suitable for other lipolys upto 6 cells with balancing leads/connectors (except Thunder Power lipo)

Sulit yung TrakPower V-Balance for your heaviliy invested racing packs.

TrakPower V-Balance is available through RNOLD. Just PM him for details.

there is also a track in Fort, the Manila Speedzone besides MC Home Depot but it's an open track so when it's raining you can't play unlike in the JP Raceway which is a covered track you can always play even when it's signal number 3
