isa pang ok na lipo charger yung orion flight advantage, $80 lang. tamang tama to sa lipo but medyo bitin for nimh or nicad kasi 5 amps ang max charge rate

Here's a post i came accross on in one of the htreads here. Pretty well said and puts the whole LiPo thing in perspective. In short, there is no advantage to LiPo over NiMh in terms of power output - in fact in certain instances (like stock as already mentioned before), NiMh still has a slight edge.

"NiMH packs peak out at 9+ volts, and LiPo stops at 8.4. LiPo batteries hold their voltage under load much better, but stock racing doesn't seem to create enough load to make a difference, so NiMH has a slight edge in stock. It's not huge, but it's there. It begins to matter a lot less in faster classes like mod, or if minimum weight rules are revised.

For me, competitive as I am, I'd still rather use LiPo, and try to make up for it with driving and setup......"

with more and more bog name manufacturers (even Losi and Schumacher are releasing their own packs) coming into the LiPo arena, this is a testament to them realizing its going to happen and they are embrasing the technology given its benefits to rc and racing in general.

that being said, karrera na!!! see you guys tomorrow at the track!

Pero I see in regulated races na kailangan may minimum weight requirements so bale wala din.

marvi/lewd/robo: Saan ba nakakabili ng used ammo boxes?

hehehe ... yan ang pag iisip na nakaka sagabal sa pag accept sa lipo. lithium polymer and lithium ion cells are used in other applications such as your avreage cellphone. di naman kayo natatakot na masabugan ng cellphone diba? kahit binabagsak bagsak niyo pa. besides, kaya nga may hard case para at most less prone to combustion since less oxygen to facilitate this. at worst a damaged pack with swell up.

but if you want to be extra safe, those amo cases na dating ginagawang tool box is good. or baka may sentry safes kayo diyan sa bahay, dun niyo nalang i-store kung napapraning kayo.

swift and sleek: try mo action hobbies sa fort. alam ko they have the hara version of that .... pareho lang yun, iba lang casing. 2.1 or 2.2 na ata version nila. not sure, mejo out of the know na ako sa brushed escs ngayon since i went brushless. i would actually suggest na mag brushed/brushelss esc ka na like the Novak GTB or the LRP Sphere. furute proof ka na niyan since you can run any motor with thse escs. just a suggestion for you to consider.

thanks,
Gerry
