buboy: mahirap sagutin tanong mo kasi not sure kung ano exactly ang layout sa JP ngayon. pero malamang nitro layout yun. may konting modification lang kaming ginagawa para gawin mas pang EP ang layout. .... by the way sir, yung pdub bumpers mo dadalhin ko bukas just in case dadaan kayo sa track. see if ever. sana maka join ka sa race.

JP: see you tomorrow birthday boy!

bmmer: welcome to the wonderful world of BL Power!

Thanks to all for the nice race yesterday! Sarap talaga ng lechon! Boss JP, happy birthsday ulit kahit wala ka. Ang lupit ng Brushless, kung ikaw nasa sapatos ko kahapon... baka kailangan ilagay yung pangalan mo sa bubong hehe.

Mitch, Josh, Tanta, Jay, Joji, Jason, Rnold, Mitsubishi, Alfonso_R, Joseph_S, Tutoy: It was nice seeing and racing with some of you again. See you till the next race.

Alec: Nice meeting you bro.

Robo: Had some problems with the BL 4.5R overheating. I was running 9.76 FDR and overheated after 5 minutes + 1 lap (motor was about 68degC, ESC was about 50degC at one heat it ran about 80degC), changed to 10.2 but still overheated after 5 minutes + 2 laps. I ran Jason's sintered rotor on my 4.5R can, malakas pero thermal. I removed drag brakes na din, ganun pa din. I tried 9.37 FDR thinking I was under geared, pero wala lalong malamya and bumagal pa after 2 laps. What gives? Go LRP na ba?

Chito was running his Type-R also at 10.2 pero wala naman thermal. Driving style kaya? Though he mentioned dapat I should set the TX to 70/30 electronic throw, kasi sa ngayon yata naka 50/50. May effect ba ito?

Experts, advise naman sa newbie please, before I give up and go nitro

Default good day! need help

A pleasant day to all. i jus wanted to ask help from the electric pros here regarding my bat and charger. newbie lang po sa electric world.

here are the stuffs i have
Much more ctx cell master
IB 3600 stick type 7.2v
IB 4200 stick type 7.2v

first things first, i want to discharge and cycle my batts muna before anything else. so...

On my charger's discharge menu...
What should my discharge ampere be? (for 3600) (for 4200)
and what will be my cutoff voltage? (for 3600) (for 4200)

next would be the cycle settings...
what should i set it to for 3600 and for 4200?

what should my long lockout be set to? and in that fact, what the heck is it?
im really new to these charger settings and have absolutely no idea. nasanay kse ako sa TLP-15 na charger eh. nag upgrade, and now im clueless!

and note that i think my batteries aren't balanced anymore. would really appreciate sum1 with the tools and skills to help me pick out the good cells among these packs and make a healthy pack out of them. or at least help me do sumthing to revitalize em out.

just pm me nalang po or u can text me at 09178842479. if ever youre near me lang and you wanna help me out i would really appreciate it! im from san juan/ mandaluyong lang. dadala ako merienda! hehe! thanks all!

lewd: hard to say bro. thermalling was a big problem for me as well when i was running the novak system. although gamit ko was a 3.5 not a 4.5. all i can think of is your gearing might be too high. subukas mo mag gear down ng pinion to get an fdr of about 10-10.5 and work your way from there. if you are using a bonded motor, you cant gear it as high as a sintered one because their tolerance for heat is not as high. other than that, try rin siguro tempreing your profile settings sa esc para less aggressive. i would leave the drag brakes off as well (which you already did). othr than that pards, really dont know what else to do.

bmmer: somthing came up last minute. as in hating gabi ng biyernes biglang nagkalakad ako. kamusta bl? how did you gear your 4.5? Laro nalang tayo next sat. i dont think i can play sa tac this sunday. may family lunch ako this weekend eh. hirap talaga ako pag sundays..... family first.

porshaa: here's some settings to get you started.

1) use the peak charge mode when charging (linear charge), dont bother with the CTX charging modes - IB cells dont like it.
2) Charge Rate 5 amps; Discharge Rate 10 amps (thats the maximum discharge rate the ctx has).
3) Discharge cut-off, i would suggest 6.0v coz you're using stick packs. This will lessen the chance of some of your cells reversing during a discharge.
5) Peak detect - set it at .03mv per cell
6) Temp cut off - 50 degs.

These settings should be fine for both your 3600s and 4200s.

As for balancing, i assume you're referring to equalizing? unfortunately, since you're cells are in stick pack config, there is no way to discharge you're cells individually. side by side packs are the only config that will allow you to use an equalizing tray which will discharge your cells individually.

Hope this helps.
