Just watched the videos from last Sunday's race with my son... Aliw!

Mainit sa 4WD buggy! Kailangan siguro ng secret practice, a he he he...

Hayop ang video coverage sa rally! Luv those near ground shots! Parang full scale!

Ang Idris ko, excited na mag-race uli!

Ako HAYOK naaaaaa!!!!

jobo,
whats your comment on the speed of the 2wd stock? their laps times is as fast as rally kits. 10 laps and 11 secs. your son would really enjoy 2wd, si ervine kulelat making only 6 laps. Dapat ga secret practice.
Yes truely a risky coverage on a low and cloce-up shot., you'll never know if the kit can hit the camera. such a pity my camera has low resolution avi format, w/o audio. Will wait for your return next month.

kenneth,
Its a pleasure, bka makita ka ng taga citroen at kunin kang rally driver....

hgcolors,
Bravery? maybe a fool! if i continue doing this may camera days are numbered...

Emer: The stock 2WD buggy class last Sunday looked good. Close fights between vehicles and with three different winners in each main heat.

I still have the Mabuchi motor that came with my DI. I'll install it on Idris' Duratrax buggy and let him join this class on April 15.

Ako, I know it's a long shot, pero magbabasakali pa din ako na magka-quorum sa modified 2WD buggy class. Sabi ko sa iyo, kami na lang ni Stealth matitira dito e, he he he

Default Sunday Dirt Fest

Hello Guys,

Ang lapit na ng biyernes

We are planning a little funrun on Sunday at SonicBoom tracks-- probably 10am-3pm. If you get bored and are in the area, why not bring a buggy or truck and just have fun.

Default Hitec HSC-5998TG Servo

Hi Emer, fellow QCRCCC enthusiasts,

Ask ko lang if compatible ba ang Hitec HSC-5998TG Digital Titanium Servo sa Futaba 2PL Digital AM. My receiver is R142JE 27Mhz.

Also, pwede ba magpatakbo sa QCRCCC ng Big Block .28 Engine? Alam ko kasi may mga restrictions kayo sa RC na pwedeng tumakbo dyan. Ung RC is Savage X SS.

Thanks!

cdavis,
I dont have any idea about the servoes, there would not be any conflict bet. your radio and servos. if digital servo or not.
You can use your big block engine at circle, just dont forget to drop in the donation box your practice fee of 100.00 ty.

jobo,
Yes based on the lap times, its really a closde fight for the 4 of us, except ervine who is not familliar in driving 2wd puro piga kasi.

basically, panaka rules is the width it should be 200mm of the tires. some bodies rangers from 160- 220mm this is allowed.
motor its should only be 27 x 1 johnson or mabutchi motor.
battery sub-c but some guys are using li-po, pag nationals sub-c lang nicad or NMH. sa kits well anything, thats has better dust protection.
Next race will be on april 15.

Just a stab at your inquiry...

Rules:
------
1. 1/10th scale car
2. Mabuchi/Johnson Silver Can Stock Motor.

As far as I know, that's it. You can hop it up. You can use any ESC. You can gear it how you like.

A lot of guys who race in this class use Tamiya kits with TL-01 and TT-01 chassis.

They're on-road cars. They raise the suspension and body mounting and put on off-road tires like Tamiya Rally Block and HPI rally tires. Some even use front 4WD buggy wheels and tires on all corners.

My 10 year old son runs a Tamiya TL-01 chassis which my son won in a raffle at last year's Off-road Nationals.

It is almost stock except for the addition of Tamiya rally block tires, full ball bearings, CVA shocks (to replace the stock friction shocks) and TEU-101BK ESC (stock speed controller was mechanical ).

The TL-01 is very durable. It has held up well with the abuse my son has given it during the races.

As far as I know, Lil's still has TL-01 kits and good parts support for it. However, if I had to get my son a kit for rally now, I'd most likely get a TT-01, which is a newer (compared to TL-01) Tamiya chassis.

Hope this helps.

I'm sure the other passionate rally guys will post their inputs.

I hope your kid can join us soon. Kapag nagkataon, magiging apat na ang mga kids na mag-re-race sa rally class! It will be fun for our kids that they can run with persons near their age.

On a different note, you might also want to consider a 2WD off-road buggy. A new stock (silvercan) 2WD buggy class has just been started during last sunday's race to encourage new racers. Aside from rally, my son will also be joining this class at the next race on April 15.
