Hi guys - I'm BACK!
(Just had small wedding to attend - like, my own.)
Ok... to all you fellas wondering WHY this cynoacrylate stuff loves to glue up your skin so fantastically well + its non-toxic...
and I see a few ppl have mentioned it (jokingly?) already...
Ya - in the 1970s the US Govt invented CA to replace sutures during the Vietnam war era!!!
Yes, CA is used in the hospitals too today. Its pretty much the same stuff, also made by 3M/Selleys, except of course its guaranteed sterile packaging.
In fact, have had to use it myself a few years ago - I keep a new tube in my first aid kit all the time. Easier than getting stitches.

Surgical CA is now usually used in paediatrics, where its hard to sew up little kiddies. Also with stitching you've gotta go get it unpicked after you've healed... with CA it just falls off when its finished.
There was some scandal some years back... to save some $$$ some hospital somewhere was caught buying CA from a hardware store!!!

hahahaha, u should have said the hospital used SURGICAL superglue... at least it's more believable...

hm........ WC....... it is used to stick reconstructed skull pieces of patiens
its also used as a tool to reconstruct the skull ... how?
by making the reconstructed piece same in shape to the original skull thats missing making it easier to fit in the rugged and wierd edges
well...... its on a book i read sometime back ....
CA FROM HARDWARE STORE ?!?@!!#?!??#!?#?!#?!?@
heck....... its the same substance but its not stearilised!!!!!!!
giving a dangerous threat to infections for the patiens
horniez:
well....... i think i was only 10 years old then ...... what differnce does surgical superglue and superglue have on a 10 year old ???

bought up the subject again in secondary 3 ... also became the joke of the year .... even teachers didn't belive me ....
