very good indeed...more major tounaments in malaysia...

anyway isnt december raining season...?

It's great however I'm quite puzzled as to the race dates, 5 days? And what's happening on Monday (rain day)?

Default 4 Days Official Race

Hi Jonest,

Date : Thursday, 1st - Monday, 5th December, 2005 - (5th December - Rain Day)

The 2005 FEMCA ISTC will be a running Officially 4 Days.
However FEMCA had advised us to add another day for Rain Provision Day.
Just in case if it rains on Thursday 1st Monday, The race will commence itself on Friday, 2nd December - Monday, 5th Dec 2005.

Expected Drivers coming - Atshushi Hara, Surikarn, Andrew Abbot, Andy Cooke, Jilles Groskamp, Andy Lam and many more.

2005 PRE-FEMCA ISTC CHAMPIONSHIP RACE on the 6 - 7th August, all entries must be in before 8th July 2005. Please take note.

waaa..like this many international tournament held in malaysia...maybe in future can be host to world cup...whatever category i don't mind......after all we host the F1...and so many other sports...

As suggested by many FEMCA countries, new event dates are given to accomodate more drivers.

why so many days? as normal big races only 3 days event.

Would love to attend but timing may not suit most of us working people.

Event: 2005 PRE-FEMCA ISTC CHAMPIONSHIP
Dates: 6 - 7th August 2005
Registration: Before 17th July 2005.
Race Format: IFMAR Technical Rules Applied
Tires & Inserts: Controlled Tires & Inserts
Racing Fees: RM 50.00 for 2 days. (Limited Seats Only)

Note:
1. Registration - before 17th July 2005. Please take note. Send your details to [email protected] or to any of your local hobby shops.

2. Race Event - will be held 2 Days period. Day 1, Timed Practice on 6 August 2005 and Day 2, Finals on 7 August 2005. IFMAR & FEMCA Racing Format applied.

3. Controlled Tires & Inserts - Please do not prepare wheel sets before the race event, as this is a sanctioned race, Tire & Inserts will only be available/distributed to Registered Driver on each day of the Pre-Race Event. Time will be allocated to each Group of 10 Drivers for tire gluing in front of Technical Area. Technical Inspection and Markings of tires will take place on Day 1. Wheels/tyres must be marked by the Technical Inspector before being presented to Technical Inspection for timed practice heats, qualifying heats or finals. Unmarked wheels/tyres may not be used on the car during qualifying heats and finals. Technical Inspection shall be responsible for recording the number of tyres used by each driver.

4. Restriction of Tires - Tires are restricted in use during the Event:
Timed Practice – 1 set, Qualifying – 3 sets, Finals – 2 sets for sub mains, A – Finals 3 sets.

5. Types of Wheels - There will be no restriction on types of wheels used during the Pre-FEMCA race event. Only Tires & Inserts are Controlled.

6. Battery List – Only 2005 IFMAR APPROVED PRODUCTS’ LIST - BATTERIES are allowed.

7. Motor List – Only 2005 IFMAR PRODUCTS’ LIST – MOTORS: Issued May 21, 2005 are allowed.

8. ISTC Touring Bodyshell – Only REGISTERED 1/10TH ISTC ELECTRIC ON-ROAD BODYSHELL LIST - OCTOBER 1, 2004 are allowed.

9. Transmitter Impound - All transmitters must be placed in impound upon arrival at track. Transmitters will be furnished to each competitor after completion of technical inspection and prior to their heat. Transmitters in the pit areas or areas other than the drivers stand and impound, during official competition hours will cause disqualification.

10. Frequencies – Each driver must register 3 sets of Frequencies Numbers.

11. Track layout - must be at least 60% new in layout/design at the start of the event.

12. Race Duration - ISTC 1/10: All heats and finals will be five (5) minutes, plus maximum of thirty (30) seconds to finish the last lap. There will be a three (3) minute break between heats.

13. Marshalling - Marshalling shall be provided by the racers.

14. Car Numbers and Lap Counting Transmitters - Only the numbers supplied by the organizer will be used on the car. Each competitor is responsible for attaching the lap counting transponder to his car. During qualifying any car without a transponder or a personal transponder that has not been plugged in will not be counted. During the final(s) all cars must have transponder firmly attached at the start of the race. In the event of the loss and/or failure of transponder the car will be manually counted. Under no circumstances will a heat or final be re-run due to a car not having a transponder or failing to plug in a transponder or failure of such. This also applies to a car having an incorrect number.

15. Results - At the end of each heat and final, and after official review, the results will be displayed for the competitors for checking and information. The result sheet will include lap times and finishing positions. The display sheet will also display the official time of posting.

16. Penalties And Sanctions - Black flag (removal of car from track) may be issued for the following reasons;
a. Drivers who impede the progress of other drivers.
b. Un-sportsmanlike driving.
c. Participants driving in a manner deemed to be dangerous.
d. Vehicles judged to be in an un-driveable or dangerous condition by the Race Director. These vehicles, after being repaired, may be allowed to re-enter the track after permission by Race Officials.
e. Vehicles losing their body must immediately leave the track and carry out necessary repairs before re-entering track.
f. Any illegal modifications or changes made to the vehicle which are found during technical inspection at the end of a heat or final will automatically cause disqualification.
g. Any vehicle which, by the fault of another driver, is damaged or obstructed during a heat or final will not, under any circumstances, be allowed to re-run in another heat.
h. All participants must strictly observe the instructions and warnings by the Race Director and Referees.
I. The bad behaviour and/or deportment of any competitor, even outside an official race meeting, which could injure the promotion of the sport, may become the object of an official national or international sanction.

what motor limit will be set for this coming FEMCA ISTC race? 7 turn or 8 turn? thanks
