well if ur a fate believer.... then do think much u can accomplish.... however.... races did make me learn alot..... improvements i can c myself into.... better characteristic understandings of my own setup..... u should be doing better than relying on fate...

ijnek: watcha think?

yep ... i agree....
hehehe i should start praticing ....
i just dun like my old car ....
bias maybe ...
cant blame me tho ... had a nightmare with that car -
maybe coz i was a beginer back then ... but it was still a nightmare !!!!

cool good 4 u jo ... btw do u belive that roll centre and the reactive castor has a lot to do with setups ...?
i have been learning a lot about those b4 i stopped rc a while back ...
most people tell me its useless....
just learn how to setup by trail and error bla bla bla ....

ever read the website on rc handling ???

think u ought 2 upgrade a new car larr..... at least a 04s or 04ss kah.... it suits u better....

de gravity centre of de car is important..... wat's "castor"???

u'll have perfect setup once u understand characteristic of de car n track requirements..... u'll have lotsa fun doing dat..... for once i did it during last race in s'pore..... i think there's still lots of room 4 improvements.... watcha think??

hehe i got it wrong its should be camber ......
sorry

castor is actually the angle of tilt "of the HUB" for the tires to automaticaly strightens up when u move foward it also gives additional grip during a turn ( middle and exit )as it affects camber angles when its turned ....which therefore affects the throw of the car when its moving in speed ... ...
remember kickup is diffrent .... from castor ....

but the kickup effects castor ... kickup is when the A arms is pointed upwords and not horizontal to the chasis when viewed from the side ...

kickup affects the weight and load of the car under braking and during a turn ....( too long to explain with all psysics in it ... some i dun even understand yet ...) hm... i am sure u remember sin cos and tan
the simple teory explanation is that the amount of weight placed on on a 2 degree tilted arms is different compared to being placed at 0/180 degrees coz its the combination of the y and x asis ....

the more castor u have the more mildly ur car turns in ... ( understeer then suddenly halfway tru the turn the front suddenly gets grip and the car turns QUICKER ( sharper) ... if addjusted properly to match camber settings it can be useful ....

and the less castor u have the car will turn in more aggeresively then mildly in the middle and on the exit ....

the amount of "throw" can be controlled by trottle so what i am explaning based on a very liner trottle ( no acceleration or deseleration )

camber .... i think u know rite ....

yes theres a lot of room for improvement .......
i understand the effects etc etc but just cant put together the pieces so it would work 4 me and my car ......
maybe coz i never practice ...

Reactive camber is that when the suspension compresses during a turn the ture will gain neg camber thus giving u more grip ...
but theres a drawback .... on bumpy tracks like JJ the car will be hard to control ... coz the tire will never have an even contact patch therefore bouncing aorund ....

i tested and tested and found out that for bumpy tracks reactive camber is useless.... ( see all the crashes i have in JJ when i first buy the kawada???) was testing diff setups everytime i am there ... LOL

to have a liner camber movement or no reactive camber is best for JJ or JJ like tracks....

to give u reactive camber u will ahve to put the upper link angled downwords to the unside ( hub side higher and lower shock tower side ) which also means lowering ur Roll centre lowered which again gives u more roll ...
which "sometimes '( car dependent )also means u can use harder and stiffer suspension and yet get good grip .... ( more weight transfered = more roll )

my humble 0.002 cents as i am still testing testing and testing ...

if u need any diagnostic on the car setup ... ask in the electrict forum thread tittle "faster coner speed like a pro"
they might help .....

or u can ask me ....
but i am defenately not as good as some pple out there

willing to try and help as well as learn ......

no o4 ss or o4s .......... hehe i want a 2nd hand o4 pro or o4r .....
but also have to depend on budget .. not easy to save money .... )
aiming 4 motor 1st ..... maybe by the end of the year ???

forgot to add
roll centre and Centre of gravity is diffrent

higher roll centre less roll
lower more roll
more roll= more traction or grip / more weight trasnfer

higher roll cantre has less roll because teory has it that if the roll centre is higher than the centre gravity of the car the car will NOT roll as the weights on each side will "fight' each other during a turn ....... not sure if this is possible but never achived it yet ...

read the site i gave u earlier.... almost everything is there
