Wow,
You seem a bit lost!

You need to think what class RC cars you would like to participate in.

On road:
speed machines
no stunts please
clean driving required
extremely expensive

Off road:
Lotsa fun and jumps
quite fast
arguably less maintenance
arguably cheaper

For both classes, they are divided into 2 types:
Electric Powered:
Clean and straightforward
Batteries are consumables and cost a lot
Only 5-10 mins per battery pack

Nitro(gas powered):
Power and speed baby!
Realism:smell,sounds, engine
Can run longer, just refuel
Engine maintenance can shorten your life!

So you need to choose whether you want on road or off road, and gas power or electric power.

They will usually cost the same at the end, so dont choose any just cos it seems cheaper to start.

if u want to drift, get the yokomo drift kit(electric).u can get it at subang speedway.i dont know the contacts, sorry.if u want to drift, get an electric car, nitro is not suitable for drifting.what type of car should u get??hmmm,if u want speed,go with on-road.if u like jumps,go off-road.most cars is easy to assemble.but if u r just starting out,i think u just get an rtr.

ps. the yokomo drift kit is A KIT

any track car can be easily tuned to perform drifting.
ACtually the yokomo drift car is one of the cheapest around.

Yokomo cars are exclusively carried by Hobby Haven and its appointed distributors.
Pay them a visit and I'm sure you'll end up much poorer but damn happier with a drift kit baby!

Just remember that this is roughly what you'll need:
1.Car kit
2.Bodyshell(which should come with the Yok drift kit)
3.Tyres(Which could come with the kit, but necesarily so)
4.Electronic Speed Controller
5.Motor
6.Radio (including transmitter and receiver)
7.Servo(which usually comes with the radio, but not necesarily so)
8.Batteries(keep in mind, a 3300mAh pack will last below 10 mins, so to run continously you'll need 2-3)
9.Charger for the batteries

I guess you should prepare around RM1500.
