Difficult to get a cheap charger for 8 cells. I recommend the KO charger RM580 that charges most things but the Prolux RM350 is decent too. 1 time investment, get a good charger that can charge your 7.2v, controller battery, 6v receiver packs and some even lead acid batteries.

wow... boyd... what are you gonna charge??? running your micro with 8 cells?? If that is what you plan to do.... save it for a while and get the lipo

Anyway... what Jets and Adrian says can be considered too...

hehehe... yeah im planning to run 8 cells with mamba. mamba can run from 6-12 cells.

i checked the price and it seems that the charger + li-pos is more expensive than nimh and the charger.

does the prolux charger charge li-po?

is it this model ar?

http://www.prolux.com.tw/htm/1852_a.htm

anyone else who want to sell their charger? :d

Default decided which charger to get.

I have decided to get Great Planes Triton charger.

http://www.electrifly.com/gpmm3150.html

I believe that is the cheapest charger with lots of functions.

What do you guys think of this? Can I buy this locally?

Its not a bad charger.
But it can only charge up to 5 amps.
If your racing TC, 6 amps is the standard charge rate.
But i belive ur running a Mini (?), so it would be a sufficient charger.
Check out New Products thread.
I gave some information on the new Team Much More charger.

hmm... you mean racing TCX can charge at 6A so the battery pack willl have more punch?

yeah I m running mini but I m hoping that this will be my only charger that will last as long as possible. I dont feel like spending money on these stuff. I like to play with my car :d and hope that the charger is good enough to put some "kick" inside the battery pack

Hmm... that look interesting. Is it available in Malaysia and how much will that cost me?

Any other charger that I should consider?

Thank you for the suggestion.

Boyd,.. since you're interested with li-po... why not geta charger that is capable of charging ni-cad, ni-mh and li-po too.... i think there is a universal charger out there... just a matter of searching Why not ask KoE or KREATOR to source it for you or you can source it on your own too...... just my opinion

yeah, i am. that is why i am interested with GP triton. Triton is kinda popular cause it can charge all types of battery that you can find in the market<ni-cd, nimh, li-po, li-ion,and lead batt>. i can charge 1-4 cells of li-po or li-ion, 1-24 cells of nimh or nicd and 6v, 12 and 24v of lead acid batt.

after reading through the Team Much More CTX-Cell master charger, it can charge li-po too but i dont know how much is that charger.

Hmm... you know KoE too? He is a nice guy. yeah i will consult him first but now it is just 4th day of raya so i dont want to bug him yet.

i did try to source it on my own, i searched for the distributor of Malaysia area and the price is unacceptable even giving them more chance cause of the shipping, handling and custom.

thank you for the suggestion
