Hi Guys, greetings from Florida. We arrived yĄŻday morning after a torturing flight totaling 36hours!! Of course including the transit time. All of us are suffering from jetlag now but everything else is fine. Weather here is sunny with cool breeze.
Now for the RC report. The track is great. About the same size as our Klang track but a little longer & not as wide. Not the entire track will be used. The touring class will be run the opposite direction from the 1/12th with little change. We were at the track for registration today & bought the practice tires. Photographs of each racer were taken for the official passes. Tires ( CS 27 pre mounted tires ) were sold at USD$25 each sets. Batteries which are to be used for the race must be impounded for verification & to be tagged. No practice is allowed today until the controlled practice takes off tomorrow. A different sugar was sprayed on the track today meaning no one will know the traction till practice begins. Additives too can only be known then.
Many prototypes will be used by factory teams. Photographs too were not allowed. Masami will be using a new prototype which were REALLY impressive! Hint: a cross between a Rayspeed & XRay!!. Looks bloody cool too. Will post the photos immediately after the race, maybe IĄŻll even bring it home. We were given some new stuffs here too by the factory guys. A new graphite center shaft & a spool were given to us.
ThatĄŻs all for now. Will keep you guys updated again tomorrow. By the way, Masami won the 1/12th with a upset stomach, having diarrhea non-stop & neck pain for the last 2 days!!! I was the one who gave him medication last night!
