leongyooi,

assuming that your carbon fiber sheet is not badly scratched, you can actually take it to a car painter to get it sanded down and recoated with a clearcoat. Many 1:1 scale cars with cf do get tarnished from exposure to the sun and and this is how they restore the "look"

Hope this helps!

Default rstoring chassis scratches

i used to spray a layer of clear paint on scratched surfaces but not sure if that help the carbon chassis... if u r not sticking protecting film you can try spraying those UV protection spray for car interior/plastic.. will tone down 1 shade for those scratches...

leonggyooi,

As much as all of us like our chassis to be scratch free, but it's just not possible unless you keep it as a shelf queen or run on carpet tracks only.

Not much help using chassis protector as your ride height will be totally out and handling will be affected.

Another note is that used/older CF chassis will lose it's strength and will flex unpredictably. So time for a new chassis!

Just enjoy the hobby and not worry about the chassis too much!
