SSGP Championship Season 2010 - Round 1, Endurance
Venue - RCP SS19 Track, Subang Jaya
Date - Saturday, 16th January 2010
Entry Fee - RM150 per team of 3 drivers with Dinner and Handout Yokomo 48T motor
PLEASE PAY TO HOBBY HAVEN, BANDAR SUNWAY BEFORE 9th JANUARY.
Race Format - 3 hours Twilight Endurance
Description - Twilight Endurance 3 hours (Starts from late afternoon and the day turns black as the race progress, drivers start to turn on the headlight.)
Compulsary requirement
1) Headlight and Taillight LED Light is compulsory
2) Compulsory to use Personal Transponder ( Contact us should you need help getting a personal transponder for your team )
3) 3 drivers per team

Schedule (Duration of 5 hours)
4:00-4:30pm - Registration
4:30-5:00pm - Driver's briefing & Photo session
5.00-8.00pm - Endurance Starts ( Race starts by installing battery and bodyshell )
8.00-8.20pm - Tabulate Result
8.20-8.50pm - Announce results & Prize giving

Race Format ( Endurance )
Endurance will be a Team race comprised of 3 drivers each Team, 1 car each Team. And each drivers take turn as Driver and Pit Crew.
There will be no Pre-Qualifying and Heats in Endurance. Endurance starts from Final.
Each Team will be allocated with their own pit lane by draw.
Start of Endurance
To make things interesting, race starts from Pit Lane, with battery and bodyshell out of the chassis.
As the green light given, drivers from the Pit Lane battle to install battery and bodyshell and release the car when everything is installed.
Change of Drivers
Each drivers must rotate and drive for 30 minutes each for the first 1 and half hour. After that, you can rotate drivers freely based on your strategy.
Reminder will be given 2 minutes before each 30 minutes interval ends.
Drivers who are driving in the current 30 minutes interval must stop the car at the pit lane at the end of 30 minutes interval and rotate with another driver. The stepped down driver then proceed as Pit Crew.
Pit Lane Rules
Car must stop at each allocated Pit before any work can be started.
1) Changes of battery and tires are allowed.
2) Repair work is allowed to be done at driver's work table.
Result
Winner will be based on the Team who finish First.
All 3 drivers in the same team gets the same score.

FAQ
1. Why a Personal Transponder is compulsary?
The reason that a Personal Transponder is a compulsary in this Endurance Race is to ensure the reliability and accuracy of timing during the 3 hours race period.
2. Is it compulsary for the whole Championship Series?
No. It is only for Endurance.
3. What if I don't have a Personal Transponder
a) Look for a teammate/frens who has a personal transponder
b) Please call us and we will assist you to get a loan unit.

Elwyn,
Whats the reason for increased weight? The minimum weight of 1.6kg seems high. Wouldn't this be counter productive to reduce costs as the higher chassis weight will increase overall wear rates.
Most cars if not all that are equipped with lipo batteries usually will come in about 1.4kg.
Or am i missing something here?
