Default Engine condition

Hi, it's me again with questions . from the pic below, i have few questions, 1. look the the pic of my engine head, is it ok, it looks like few pieces of aluminum chipped off (in red circle) and got 'pot holes' what happened to it? No, I didn't drop it. Is because of detonation?. 2, look at my sleeve and piston pic, are they in good condition? sorry for pic quality, i'm using camera phone.

Your plug seems to say the engine is running very lean.

Ohh.. you mean my plug filament turns gray, when I removed the head, the filament inside still shiny and got some oily residue, it turned grey I think it's because I test it using glow heater after I dismantled the head.

It looks like something went into the combustion chamber that would have caused those indent.

I have experienced it before on my Nova 21-3 and it was due to two of the ball from the main bearing cracked and chiped, the residue went into the combustion chamber then turned it into the surface of the moon!

It could be bad air filteration too.

Yeah, I applied some ATF on the air cleaner sponge, perhaps the previous owner didn't.
