Tamiya HQ in Shizuoka
Hi gang. Just finished putting up a couple web pages of my visit to Tamiya HQ in Japan last year. The URLs are at
http://www.bigbigplanet.com/japan/day10_1.php
and
http://www.bigbigplanet.com/japan/day10_2.php.
A few appetizers...

You're welcome, Edwin. And thanks.
I mentioned Eric Chow in a post earlier and I think this created some confusion as people have been asking Stargek representatives how he is involved with Stargek. He is not. Eric Chow owns a hobby store and is a longtime active supporter of the hobby, but he plays no part in Tamiya or Stargek.
I think I made a statement that was not clear and probably should not have been made in the first place, so I cannot offer any satisfactory explanation without repeating what I shouldn't have revealed in that post. I can only offer my sincere apologies to all parties concerned for my lack of judgement.
Sorry everyone.

A name and face has also been omitted from the web pages. Sorry about the vagueness. It had to be done.
And KOE, my offer to help you plan a trip still stands, as far as I am able to help in good conscience, but I can't include anybody's names as my trip to the HQ was made possible through favours from friends and it isn't fair to them if I extend their favours to me to other people as well. Hope you understand.

One last thing to clarify. I was told I was giving the impression that anybody can just walk into the Tamiya HQ and ask for a personal tour. This is not true, and I'm sorry that I didn't clarify this before.
The Tamiya HQ museum, gallery and shop are open to the visitors, but the personal tour was arranged for us as a favour.

Sim,
What's the fuzz? Just ignore the loose talkers. As far as I'm concerned, many like me would appreciate your sharing of the interesting experience. Thank you.

RCMuppet,
Thanks for the support. The important thing is nobody gets hurt and I think everything worked out well in the end. The pages are still up and the important parts of the story are still being told.
