No AMAIN or Tower Coupons with AE Kits
Yesterday I could use the code... today, it says this manufacturer won't allow use of the coupon codes with the kit I had in the cart...AE RCB3.1e.. 50-55 off 549.99
Why would they do that?

Seems all the manufacturers now are doing it and it friggin sucks. Hobby is already losing people in groves, I don't know why they'd want to push people out the door that much faster.

The days of coupon codes are coming to an end, the hobby is trying to make a come back and with the volume of manufacturers going bankrupt or out of business is alarming. I get that this hobby is not cheap, but Tower tried to undercut coupon codes for years and you see where it ended up for them? There is a give and take in all aspects of life, if it is not affordable, it can't be a priority. I myself have had to cut my schedule due to finances.
On another note, we have no control over it.

Luckily, Tower still has very good coupon codes going on still but their selection is pretty limited compared to the competition. However, these coupons still manage to keep others in check from becoming too greedy (thankfully). Lets get real --- it wasn't coupon codes that drove Tower to bankruptcy... it was copyright infringement, poor branding of their Team Durango (and leadership), and a nostalgia that would follow them pushing other vendors out. I'm not going to pretend I know everything that went down with Tower, but I bought my first RC Car from them in 1990 (FX-10) - they had great coupons then as they continued to have through 2018 and were doing fine up until 2016 when all this stuff went down with Traxxas.
I know the script to read to hobbyists is, "Look what happened to Tower" in order to justify not giving any discounts - but it's a farce. Competition to drive down prices, provide more options to the consumer and promote innovation is a GOOD thing in this hobby.
