I thought it was a roar rule that there was to be no racing on a layout before a roar event only practice as scheduled for such event that way it fair for all who attend

That only applies to National events, per Section 12.3.1 of the ROAR rules.

As Howard indicated, I can find no ROAR rule specifying that a layout can not be used prior to a Regional event. Our practice (same as for the outdoor ROAR Regional) is to build a new layout for every big event and use our Wednesday night club race to shake it down and decide on any needed modifications. We then do not allow practice on Thursday and everyone gets the opportunity for 9 hours of practice on Friday. We've found this works pretty well and reduces any risk that we'll find problems on Friday that delay practice for everyone.

I'll admit it does give locals the possible advantage of a couple of more runs on the layout. However, we've found that the track will change once it has a few cars on it anyway. We also figure most people will be able to figure out the layout and their setup in the 9 hours available on Friday.

Yeah, the first race day after a rebuild is very loose and sometimes requires small pin tires instead of bar/tread tires. It needs that one race day so that the track is good to go for practice, otherwise everyone who came out for practice would practice on a track that wasn't anything like it will be on race day.

Don't worry, we'll break it in for ya so practice won't be worthless

I have ssen it where it was up to the region director. heck even the winterchamps in florida had the layout the week before and the club race the week before was packed.

There is a roar offroad regional race this weekend. I imagine the onroad might be closed due to using the onroad side for some extra pits. Not sure on this but that is usually what happens.

After the final Mo Proseries race at Fastlane, is there a list of final standing for the series anywhere. Been looking and cant find it?

Charlie, Jason is correct. There will be no carpet racing this Sunday (October 13) due to the ROAR Region 8 10th scale indoor offroad championships at Fastlane. We will be using the carpet room for overflow pit space. Sorry.
