Should be quite a few of us old enough to race masters in next couple yrs. LOL
Stock should stay stock in my opinion. If you want the speed race mod.

How does a 17.5 compare to an old brushed stock motor? Back in the Day.....Stock truck use to be a great class with very close and clean racing.
I agree Balony....Trucks still around? Always was my favorite class then died to the SCT. Did ROAR include Trucks at the Nats this year?

It is kind of funny to think about most of the guys from the eighties to early nineties are or will b masters eligible real soon. Myself included. LOL

Makes is more expensive for us out of towners to run in Hutch knowing that we have to buy 13.5 motors for just to run stock. Probably makes it hard on the Hutch guys to run stock out of town as well knowing that they have to buy 17.5's.
Maybe some day all the tracks will be on the same page in it comes to using a common set of rules.

From the past turnouts I would take it that people like the format/motor rules. There are tracks all over the place that makes their own rules. Some are minor and based on what the local racers like. No matter what rule package you use someone is going to type on here that they do not like it. Just one of those consumer choices I guess.

Just so you know, the rest of the nation has been running 17.5 in their stock programs for a few years now. Believe it or not....many tracks are actually following ROAR's lead and going to a non-ramping 17.5 stock class.

Also, as previously posted, we have been running this way since brushless hit the shelves. Its no change for us or any others who have came to this race. Wasn't even a discussion last year and we had a good turnout.
I still dont own a 17.5 but I run in Hutch and Enid primarily and have not needed to buy a 17.5 (Enid runs 13.5 stock as well). But I speak for myself, as I don't really want to travel anywhere during the winter, Hutch and Enid are awesome!
