Drew, good for you! Glad to hear you're putting this togather. I'll need to get a 1/18th scale latemodel again for this winter.

What timing, I just sold all my on-road stuff last month! Unless I can get on that extra special Drew Ellis rent-a-ride program!! Lol!

I've got a Yokomo MR4TC SD SSG to get rid of if anyone is interested. It's a roller at the moment. Needs a rear lower arm (which I'm in the process of getting) and servo mounts.

PM me if interested.

Same spot? Click-trac? Did you get the AMB system?

Chris, the spot I got is right next door to the old place. The old spot was already taken, but this spot seems to be nicer. Going to have to wait a month or two before I can get the click-trac, but I will be for sure getting it. Kelm is working on getting the AMB system.

Thanks Drew

I still have an old roll of carpet over at Daves. I think he would make you a good deal on it, may even be free if you pick it up.

Chris, thanks let me know. I have 3 brand new rolls but could always use extra.

Been up there working, the place is going to be super nice.

Thanks Drew

Here are some pics of the place. Thanks to Thomas for coming up and helping out. We got all 15 dressing rooms down. Should make for some nice pit tables. Going to up there from 12-5 on Sunday.

Thanks Drew

Default STL on-road

Glad to see things are coming together for you Drew. Thanks for stepping up and doing on-road right.

With the track being setup I've already started to gather up some on-road stuff to run.

I just picked up a new Tamiya MP4/5B F104W This is the newest F1 out by Tamiya. It's a cheaper version of the F104 pro with a F103 front end and wide rear tires, hence the designator F104W.

This is not my car but it'll be painted up just like it.

I also just scored a killer deal on a T3'11 with only a couple of runs on it.

Default F1 class

I understand from talking to Drew that he will initially focus mainly on two classes.

17.5 rubber tire sedan
1/12 scale

I plan on just running my F1 for the fun factor in between sedan charges. However I do believe it would make a great affordable 2nd class. There seems to be a resent surge in F1 interest as of lately and the guys on the west coast have it right.

Check out there site http://uf1series.com/

I think with a simple pan style F1 running the stock motor (silver can Mabuchi brushed motor) we could have a super affordable, fun, fair, easy to drive class that would make for some good racing.

Rules would be simple...
Tamiya F1 (any version)
rubber or foam tires (foams will obviously work the best and be the most affordable)
Mabuchi silver can motor
7.4v lipo (we could even have a spec pack (save $$) to keep the cost even lower)

If anyone is interested in this class drop me a PM or post here if you have any questions.

How much is that f104? You can find the f109 for under $100. Would that be allowed?

The F104W goes for $169 on tower plus they have a coupon. Free shipping if your a member! On www.ultimatehobbies.com $145 with free shipping over $150. Really affordable kits!! This includes the foam tires, mabuchi motor, and a really sweet body!

Any F1 is better than no F1, so yeah if you have one bring it. I would rather the class be more spec'd towards the Tamiya F1. The F109 is $95 from rcmart.com BUT you'll need to pay shipping from Hong Kong and get a motor $18. That's the best deal I found. AND if you need parts they'll have to come from Asia also unless someone in the states carries them. Not sure. The F109 is a nice car. I could see why someone would want one, especially for the $$
