Default Enid R/C Speedway

I realize this is the Kansas/Missouri forum but since many of us from Wichita and Hutch travel to Enid every weekend or so I wanted to post about the track.

If you want to travel south then Enid R/C Speedway would be worth your time. Enid is about 1:45 hours south of Wichita. This place was recently just reopened after being remodeled and it is like the Trump Tower of r/c raceways!!! We have been going every Saturday for the past three weekends and the onroad is getting better all the time. As a matter of fact , traction rolling is getting to be a problem.

They race onroad, offroad and dirt oval on Saturdays at 4pm. Full line hobby shop on site. We normally leave Wichita at 10am so if anybody wants to make a trip with us or follow us just hollar.

Here is a link to their website. http://www.enidrcracing.com/

I have uploaded some newer pics at the Project R/C site on Yahoo in the photo album under Enid R/C Speedway if you want to look at them as well.

I believe there are 8 of us from Wichita/Hutchinson going this weekend to run mod sedan if anybody is looking for someplace to race that will have a full field. Thats not including any locals that will also be running mod sedan as well.

Sounds like the first weekend in June is going to be a good time to be at Enid for some mod sedan racing. Quite a few of the OKC guys are planning on making it to Enid that weekend.

Hey Doug, what classes do they have on the dirt oval? And is it rubber tire or foam?

Thanks, Randy.

They have been running sedan/latemodel bodies with rally tires and also buggies with edm bodies. The track requires rubber tires. The track reminds me quite a bit of Fastlane. The touring car latemodels are working quite well. I saw a losi converted and it looked great even though the batteries are on the wrong side. He beat a couple of dominators that had mod motors in them with a stocker. There are a ton of sedan latemodels in Tulsa and they came the second weekend Enid was back open. They had a great time and said they would be back this fall and winter when they cannot race outdoors on their dirt oval.

Me and Brian might come up next weekend to practice for the next weekend. Mod sedan of course.

I am nothing! I would be more worried about the OKC guys!!

BTW, they have been changing the layout every week so nobody will have an advantage.

Who said anything about fear? LOL We are not getting paid to do this anyway, just fun times!

It should be a great day of racing. I know I had a great time last time you guys came up.

I wouldn't mind if the layout was down for a few weeks...the one time I went on a new layout it was skate and spinout city....

22's still the tire? I may need a new set if they are.
