Assuming there are enough volunteers to help build it, will there be enough to help prep and maintain it? I heard about a track in Lawrence that didn't have much help prepping and maintaining it. Will this track suffer a similar fate? This was before my time so there may be more to the story. Feel free to correct me. I just want to bring to everyone's attention the long term commitment that this would require. Unless the land owner is willing/able to to absorb all that responsibility?

Talking OLD Track

To clarify the situation about the old track ,here in Lawrence. We used to have one in north Lawrence at SILERS FARM it was great for a long time untill people started just showing up without calling . It was his parents property , but people just started trashing the place and NO ONE would help prep the track or help with cleanup . It became waaaayyyyy to much work for the 3 of us to deal with and to live our lives . So we closed it and plowed it over . It seems to me if EVERYONE contributes to this new track it will be AWSOME !!!!! but we MUST help Steve if it's going to work . Just remember most of us DON'T get paid to do this . BUT gas and wear & tear on machienery has to come outta someones POCKET !!!! i'll help any way i can and i hope everyone else can do the same . It's hard out there so if we get asked we should help ! All n all Steve is the guy that can pull it off . And we ALL should support all our local tracks as well as hobby shops . oh well i spoke too much Later DarkStarr

Default hell yes

i live in olathe, right off k-7 and just south of k-10 you are closer than fastlane over in blue springs so i would be very interested in racing at your place. i am new to this hobby and am dragging my 9 y/o step daughter into it to, actually she fell head over heels into the hobby, she is getting a truck soon i own a slash and have not yet raced but am very willing. i also work for a large concrete company in the olathe area and we do deliver to eudora so if you need anything like retaining wall blocks or some concrete let me know i can get it a little cheaper. also willing to put in time when i can to help. send me a pm and i will get ya my cell #. anything i can do to help just let me know
