Are you going to be at the Missouri R/C Pro finals to shoot pictures?

I'll try to get the pics from the showdown up on my flickr account tonight. Jakes is a tough place to shoot.

yep, crop that one in a little and you're set! Like I said, I haven't shot a lot at Jakes, so I don't have a dead set camera setup for that place. I thought about setting up my slave flash somewhere, but just didn't have any time at this race. Just kinda tried a lot of different settings. Somehow my fisheye at f/8 was sharper than my 70-200 at f/3.2???
Jake, drop some huge HPS lights in that place and I could get some gnarly pics!!!
Sorry DLewis I didn't get more of your car, i know you asked me too. How bout this, if you make it out to our outdoor track this summer I'll hook you up! I've got that place dialed!

I would have to look into it but you would probably be at the very lower end of dslr cameras. Most of the point and shoot type cameras don't focus fast enough and also have a lot of shutter lag (time between pressing the button and actual exposure).
Go to adorama.com and look at some of their dslr packages. Usually they come with a lens, mem card, charger, etc.
Honestly if you want good crisp photos you'll probably spend most of ur money on lenses. That's where the money really should be spent. My white lens set me back about 2k and it's almost not enough for r/c but great for motocross.
Brand wise. I shoot canon, but most camera bodies are the same.
If you find something send me the link and I'll let u know what I think

Got a lot of good photos yesterday at the outdoor track. I've been working on a new gallery layout for the website, hopefully it will be done later tonight. Stay tuned!
