Default LaTrax Desert Prerunner

NEW: 1/18 LaTrax Desert Prerunner Off Road Race Truck

Before drivers put their 800+hp Trophy Trucks to the test in the world's toughest off-road races, they first get a feel for the course in a prerunner. Prerunners are street-legal monsters with huge suspension travel, fortified drivetrains, and massive power.

Like full-size prerunners, the LaTrax Desert Prerunner is built to be fast and nimble while being extremely durable and able to withstand the rigors of all-terrain racing action.

Includes 350mAh AC Charger & 1200mAh iD Compatible 6-Cell NiMH Battery
New Desert Prerunner body in 2 Colors with matching wheels
Full-metal Differentials

I bought one of these for my 7 year old grand daughter and I must say that I was not impressed. The body is as brittle as an egg shell and cracked the first time she bumped into something. The brushed power system is adequate, but the cheap radio without even dual rate steering is horrible. She kept over steering to the point of tears and she gave up trying. I ended up selling the darn thing at a huge loss.

As an entry level vehicle you want things to be easy and enjoyable for a newbie. This truck is neither and I would not recommend. They just released a new version, but the only difference from the original is a goofy coloured body. Still not recommended for anyone.
