New Traxxas Mustang GT 4-Tec 2.0

never said anything about hating them.
I have 3 old slash 4x4's and they are the go to beater when we want to see what they will take...
My point is exactly what you said...
For years all the RC companies have offered something similar.
To watch traxxas fund and support a real race team and charge what they do for there RTR's is irritating to say the least.
Then go after Hobbico for a steering design...That makes no sense!

It makes complete sense. It's called business.

To each their own opinion. At the end of the day its your money buy what makes you happy. Personally never been a fan of traxxas. I go for the unique and different. To me they are just too plain. The only traxxas car i kept for what i would consider for a long time sofar has been a XO-1.

Just talking to their customer service made me forget about them. Idiots. Complete idiots. Will never add another traxxas to my stable.

Interested to know why - seems like a way better mustang 2's and 4th gen cars. Considering this era of safety and emissions standards I think they did a good job - and the body looks great
The 6th gen GT with a track package is a awesome road track ready street car - - maybe a little soft and heavy but for a 420 hp 3700 lb car it works very well for what it is.

Performance wise I agree that it's solid.

They did a great job with the body but you don't like the way it looks!?
All cars today pretty much suck to look at outside of the exotics. The safety standards and platform sharing have made most mass production cars generic and soft.
The new stang at least looks better then the transformer abortion camaro!
My full scale racing buddy graduated from his audi to a 2017 GT with the track package and its pretty wicked - - still alittle slower on street tires then my track prepped miata but for a car you can drive to the track, run all day, and then drive home I don't think you could do much better for the money.

That's debatable and subject to opinion. There are a lot of ugly cars these days, but there are also a lot that are better looking than in the past. Remember the Dodge Omni and square Honda Civics? Puke! Using the additional "safety standards" and platform engineering are tired excuses. These excuses might have flown 40 or 50 years ago, but not today. Car designers have figured out ways to mask the safety requirements and parts-bin engineering.
The Camaro isn't the best looking, but neither is the Mustang. Again, that's debatable. Opinions aren't facts. Personally, I think they are both equally ugly and due for a complete redesign.
