Default Brunei Asean Cup

Just to let Indonesian racers know that Brunei will be hosting the 2005 Asean Cup 1/10 200mm GP Touring Car tournament on the 12-13 March 2005. Some details are as below;ASEAN 1/10 Gas Touring Car Championship race 2005.

Dear Representative,
The Forth ASEAN 1/10 Championship race will be held in Brunei as was voted on at the last meet in Kuchine, Sarawak 2004.
For the year 2005 we will be running two classes of race, one the open engine class and the other the control engine class (subject to a minimum of 50 participants).

Time: 11th to 13th March, 2005.
Entry closing date: TBA
Place: Final detail of location will be announced in January 2005.

Car: 1/10 scale gas touring car. (Detail please referred to car specification.)
Engine: Open class: 0.12 size engine
Tires: Open
Nitro content in fuel: 25 percent maximum.

Entry fee: Open class US$40(B$70)

Track size: Minimum 130 ft by 60 ft.

Race requirement: Participants must run 4 heats of 7 minutes to determine the finalist for
placement in the finals.
Each finalist will have to complete the time frame for each main.
Finals: A main 45 minutes
B main 35 minutes
C main 25 minutes
D main 15 minutes

Prizes: A main finalist
Champion; Trophy plus B$1300.00
1st runner-up; Trophy plus B$800.00.
2nd runner-up; Trophy plus B$400.00.
4th Trophy plus B$200.00.
5th Trophy plus B$120.00.
6th to 10th Trophy.
Other main finalist, top 3 will each receive a trophy.

Official Hotel: Will be announce in January 2005

1.2 Body shell: 4 doors touring car body shell, 1/10 scale of the full size touring car
homologated by F.I.A.
1.2.1 Front bumper must follow the body contour and be made of foam rubber.
1.2.2 The body shell must be made from flexible plastic material and painted, window to be clear.
1.2.3 Bodies must not be cut above the lower bumper line at the front and rear or above the bottom line of the door.
1.2.4 Hole cutting.
Ventilation holes, maximum 50 mm on the front windscreen and maximum 70 mm on the rear windscreen.
Only front side window can be removed.
Refueling hole, maximum 50 mm.
Glow plug access hole, maximum 15 mm.
Antenna and exhaust opening are permitted.
1.2.5 Tail wing, no part of it should be above the roofline of the body.

1.3 Weight: 1800 grams minimum inclusive of transponder (without fuel).

1.4 Engine capacity: 0.12 size or 2.11 capacity engine

1.4.1 Fuel tank: 75 cc. with no loose inserts inside the tank.

1.5 Fuel: 25% nitro methane. (Maximum).

1.6 Tires: Open but physical dimension must fall within specification.

1.7 Brake: Only single braking system working on the central power transmission, no
multi or individual wheel braking are permitted.

1.8 Drive transmission: Maximum 2 speed gear box with de-clutching device permitting
the engine to run while brake is applied.

1.9 Control requirement: All PCM function on the receiver must be disabled.
2 servo control.
No gyroscope is permitted.
Drivers are required to bring more than one sets of crystal.

Competition etiquettes.
Punctuality.
All participants are requested to abide strictly to the time schedule so to avoid delays to the starting time and finishing of the race
To ensure this is being observe the Race Director will start off the race regardless of the absent of certain drivers at the time of the race event.

Radio frequency.
Participants must be aware at all time the frequency of their transmitter.
Participants may not change their registered frequency without clearance from the Race Director.
When transmitter is being remove from the compound area it is the responsibility of the participants to ensure that it is not turn on until it is their turn to race.
No transmitter can be removed from the compound area without the permission of the compound official.
In the event of a race being held up due to frequency interference cause by irresponsible participants, the Race Director have the right to disqualify the participants from further race.
Participants are reminded to bring extra sets of crystal to facilitate changing of frequency in the event when there is a clash of frequency within the racing group.

Racing.
Participants must at all time follow the instruction given by the Race Director.
Back marker must give way for lead cars to pass or will be told to by the Race Director.
No car should be repair on the track during the race, mechanic or assistance will have to remove the car to the side of the track to perform the tusk.
Pit crew must be instructed to remove the car from the pit lane when refueling and placing the car back on the pit lane and not on the fast track.
Participants who display incompetence control of their car will be ask to quit the race with no compensation what so ever.

Dispute.
In the event dispute arises, the Race Director will make the decision and past judgment.
Should the party concern is not satisfy with the outcome he can request to forward the matter to the Jury of the race. The Jury is made up of 3 participants selected by the organizing committee and one official from the organizing committee. The decision by the Jury is final.

Official accomodation will be at Game's village and cost US$50 for full duration of stay including breakfast,dinner and transport to race venue.
