This is a thread for any and all that race at Indy RC. Been running there for a couple years now so thought this could be a good way to talk about improvements or suggestions that could be made to the race schedule, track setup, etc. I will be racing Saturday (4/23) so see ya up there!

Indy RC Bombers

The IRCB class is a sportsman class for anyone. This class is perfect for anyone wanting to have budget based, slower scaled racing fun with the emphasis on clean driving, fellow and sportsmanship. Skirting or playing in the grey area of the rules will not be permitted.
Recommended Skill Level: Any
01.1 Legal chassis: Shaft driven molded tub chassis only. Any but not limited to tub chassis like the Tamiya TT01 / 02, Team Associated TC3 / TC4, Kyosho Phaser, Traxxas 4Tec and other shaft driven tub chassis kits.
01.2 Any Hop-Op Option is allowed but you must run a shaft driven molded tub chassis.
01.3 FDR: 7.2 using any type of gear combination.
… 7.19 and up would be illegal, 7.21 and down would be legal.
01.4 ESC: Tamiya TBLE-02S, TBLE-04S ESC and Hobbywing THW-1060 only.
… The ESC wires can not be shortened.
… The motor bullet connectors may not be removed. You must use the Tamiya bullet connectors that come stock with the ESC.
… Battery connector on ESC may be changed.
… Extra capacitors or anything other than what comes with stock ESC is not allowed.
01.5 Motor: Tamiya RS-540 (25T) part number 54358 and the Tamiya Mabuchi RS-540SH (27T) part number 50023.
… The motor wires can not be shortened.
… The motor bullet connectors may not be removed. You must use the Tamiya bullet connectors that come stock with motor.
… Motor fans and heatsinks are allowed.
01.6 Minimum weight: 1550g
01.7 Ride height: 5mm, nothing lower is allowed.
01.8 Body: McAllister 55 Chevy (part number 182 and McAllister 57 Ford (part number 181). These are the only two bodies allowed, no exceptions.
… Wings, spoilers and any vintage or modern race livery is allowed but must be to scale and not look cartoonish.
… Bodies must be cut to stock body lines. Slamming or cutting down body is not allowed.
… Cutting an area of body out to allow RPM scale parts like the blower (hood) and side pipe exhaust (front fenders) is allowed.
… Cutting and widening wheel wells so tires do not rub is allowed.
01.9 Tires: 1:10 scale touring car wheels and tires only. VTA (PF & HPI), USGT Spec (any) and any 1:10 scale combination of touring car wheels and rubber tires (slick and treaded).
… Tires may not be outside or stick out from under the wheel wells, they must be inside wheel wells / body.
… No foam tires.
… No dish or disc wheels allowed.
01.10 Batteries: Any 7.4v 2 cell hard-cased LiPo up to 6000mAh MAX limit.
… 8.40v is maximum voltage allowed.
01.11 Heats: 4 minute qualifiers.
01.12 Mains: 4 minute with inverted lineup for A-Main only. Bump ups from lower mains always start at the back the pack of the A-Main or the main they bump up to.
01.13 Tech: Random tech can be called at race directors discretion anytime during heats and main. The winning chassis of the A-Main will be tech’d at race director’s discretion.
