Default Michiana RC Raceway (MRCR) Mishawaka, In

I didn't see a thread for MRCR so I thought that I would start one. MRCR is a indoor carpeted road course located behind the license branch in the Town and Country shopping plaza. The track is a carpeted and they run 1/12th scale, touring car, and vintage trans am and then they bring out the jumps and run 2wd SC, Stadium truck, 2wd Buggy, and Losi Mini 8ight's.

They race every Friday night at 7:00.

Off-road only practice on Monday's 5pm - 9pm
On-road only practice on Wednesday's 5pm - 9pm

Classes ran:

ON ROAD CLASSES
1/12th 17.5 Blinky
Rubber TC 17.5 blinky/spec speedo
Vintage TransAM 25.5

OFF ROAD CLASSES
Sportsman SC 2wd. 17.5, blinky/spec speedo
Pro 2wd SC 17.5 blinky/spec speedo
2wd buggy 17.5 blinky/spec, slick or suburb rear and any front tire
1/14th Losi Mini 8ight, stock electronics, lipo allowed, stock tires

Check out their website for more info: www.michianarc.com

Great track, great racers and they run a great fast paced program. I'm having tons of fun racing indoors when we can't get our fix in the dirt.
Also will add that we run a spec tire on the s/c trucks. It is the proline street fighter. You can run other tires of similar design and tread but i'm finding the street fighter to be the best avail.

Nice track and very well run! A good place to get your r/c fix in the winter.
Hope to bring an open mini buggy class out next week! Got some tentative 'GOs'
from some fellow Vendetta owners.

Just an update..things are going strong at MRCR. We've got a couple trophy races coming up. Here's the 1st of 2...

C'mon out on for a Monday offroad practice or Onroad Wednesday's. Both from 5pm to 9pm. Our club program is on Friday nights where we run both on and offroad classes. Have a good time!

I'll have a post for the KOR shortly.

The basics are March 9th, Track will open at 9am.
For hotel, our zip is 46545 Closest hotels are off of Grape road or Main Street. (approx 3-4 miles) I'll post up some of that info as well. Just fyi, we hope to be finished by 6-7pm Saturday.

Sounds good. I forgot to ask what the VTA guys are running for a FDR. I'll look tonight and post. Depending on when your thinking of coming in, we'll still be running our Friday night program. Doors open at 5pm, racing at 7.

Default FDR vta

I'm at 3.91 for the current layout for VTA. I suspect for King Of The Road I'll be at 3.75-3.80ish for that layout. Temps right now come off at 130 inside the motor at 8 minutes.
For US GT Im at 3.68 and motor comes off around 130-140. Ill end up around the same FDR for KOR. Maybe a tooth or two bigger.

I just updated a 6 year old thread while looking for this one May as well give this a bump too. I was toying with the idea of coming to the "King of the Road" event this weekend. Will Friday night racing be strictly on-road as a warm-up for the Saturday race?

Friday night is still the standard onroad/offroad program. It only takes about 1 minute to move the jumps and landing carpet off the track to switch between the 2. Friday's layout will also be the same layout as Saturday. while I know it may seem to give the home guys an advantage, ultimately it's to lay-in a groove for Saturday. Also, this helps startup time Saturday morning that everything is setup ready to go, no waiting for track time.
If you do decide to come up, redroof is offering a bit of a discount. Check-out the flier. Let me know if they honor it. I'm sure they will. They have in the past.

Default KOR

Im looking forward to it! We had a blast at Summit R/C in ft wayne this past weekend for the Us VTA Nats.

Our track builds traction quickly and is fairly consistent though out the program. The layout is flowy yet challenging. There's lots of good places to order food close by and lots of hotels.

Can't wait for it and all the guys coming from afar to race. There will be some good competition.
