Planet had a Hobby Shop that had most of the supplies that are needed to race and look what happened... And Hobby Town catering to 'bashers'? I am pretty sure you could build a full car from their parts supply. I still think one of the biggest things that is hurting tracks in our area is getting the word out...The same people come on these forums and look (usually MORE of the same people when you get a bunch of drama stirred up...case in point). Also, maybe a place that houses 'bashers' (if that is what hobbytown does) is not such a bad place..I started out as a basher, w/ my mrc mt10s...Read about a track called pnt hobbies in the back of rc car action (in the track directory) and have been racing ever since. Is HCRCR in the back of car action? It's free to register. Simple things like that can spread the word.

I been to the hobby clown, to get parts for my b4, nothing in stock, ole boy tried to hook my up with some tmaxx tires though, I asked about some clutch parts for a mugen, i got a look like a called his mother a whore. $45 for a gallon of crappy odonnel fuel isnt gonna help either getting people into the hobby.

Parts on site is necessary for a track to operate, plus its extra income.
also food, and working shitters with running water is a great touch

Hobbytown, caters more to bashers or I guess 1/10th. Really, they don't carry anything for Mugen or Kyosho. They do have some Proline Road Rage tires though because everyone races scale on concrete. Don't call and ask if they have a rod for a VSpec though, you'll be asked what's a Vspec. There's a couple guys that have been setting up with some parts on saturday's, I'm not sure what they are doing on sunday's but I know that if they were given a list of common parts to have on hand they probably would.

Hey guys wanna know why turnout is low, your giving a good example yourselves. Cant say I wanna take a chance of spending a day with a bunch of people that sit around and complain like they do on here. Some of the same people that talk advertising are on here bashing each other. Yea you guys are advertising alright and dont even realize it. Maybe some constructive tips and friendly chat could convince a NEW racer to come out. But after reading these forums i cant imagine why even a seasoned racer would want to show up let alone a new guy not sure what to expect. So theres my two cents, now bash everything i just said and make me want to come even less.
