Update from Friday July 25, 2008.

Another good night of racing considering it is still summer. Got 5 Mini's and 8 cars in the Vintage Trans Am class.

Top 5 in USVTA class were fairly close. Average lap times were around 8.5 seconds and top 5 were all qualified within a lap. 6-8 have been working hard on their setups and are much faster than a few weeks ago.

Had a great Le Mans style start in the main for the class and it was a reasonably clean main.

I rebuilt my TC3 and threw it out for the 1st time last night. Other than a little push off power, I was fairly competetive. I was running 4-cell stock vs most of the field running 21.5/lipo. I qualified 4th and ended up 3rd. If I could have gotten rid of the off-power push I think I could have contended for the win.

Anyone reading this thread and thinking about racing at Slots should come out and check the action. The Tamiya Mini Cooper class has a great group of guys and would make a good beginner/novice class. The USVTA class is great for guys who have an old touring car laying around.

Weekly reminder of on-road racing at Indy Slots tonight. Remember, 3 cars makes a class. USVTA class and Mini's have pretty much been guaranteed lately.

Haven't bumped this up in a while. Indy Slots is racing on-road Friday nights. If you are in the area stop by.

Have a normal turing out of Mini-Coopers, 1/18 scale Trucks, and 1/10 Scale Vintage trans-am. Paragon is allowed for traction compound.

I have heard this rumor as well, would be nice to have an indoor place to race here in Indy, either gas or electric. Im sure many of the planet RC regulars want a place to race this winter.

I can ask Doug directly what the plan is for the enclosed dirt track.

Thanks for the link to Nashville event. That is an easy drive from Indy.

Weekly reminder of on-road at Indy Slots.

Last week there were 12 VTA car (A & B mains), 6 Mini's, and six 1/18 scale trucks. There is also some interest in running 1/12 scale on Friday so anyone wanting to practice is more than welcome to come out. Plenty of time for practice between heats on Friday nights.

See everyone at the track.

With fall here and the VTA and Mini classes doing well, let's get the micro scene going gain. I'll bring my M18 this friday. Anyone else interested? Right now the class rules are still 5 cells, and a Venom fireball, but that is always open to change, if we're all in agreement.

Looks like most of the 1/18 trucks are running scale foam tires.

the Music City Championship is this Sunday...and our race director changed the distance to 60 miles...so if you are coming more than 60 miles you race for free...free food free racing free fun...also dont forget pre-register ends today......cya Sunday
