Drift parts, go to Waigo, RCMart or Racing Car model shop in KWS

There's an indoor drift circuit that's run by the Waigo guys in San Po Kong

Hobby Hobby on KWS is a fantastic little store with a great and very helpful owner. I find a lot of the folks who run the rest of the shops a bit preoccupied but this is a great Hobby Shop with a great guy running it.

Waigo is another awesome store and very famous. Ask for Dragon and he'll help you with all your questions.

Have fun!

Ive found the complete opposite for Hobby Hobby. Hes always preoccupied with chatting BS and when getting served, only gives good service when you buy big dollar items from him. Not to mention he's a bit of a conman. I bought from him first when I got back in the hobby and walked out with stuff that wasnt going to work with each other. I don't bother going there anymore.

Best service from Lum Sir @ harmony models on Pitt St, Kwok Sir from Man Lee models in KWS, and Tze Kwan from RC Model Racing, next to Man Lee.

Andy and Dick @ Action Hobbies are great guys too but their shop is always heaving so its hard to get advice but they're awesome!

None of the above are the cheapest though although Action Hobbies comes close

Hi,

I would like to know if its normal for the RC shops to charge for advise or adjusting your RC car?

I took my RC car to Model Model in Yau Ma Tei and asked the shop owner to help me calibrate the controller and the ESC. For him it was only a 2 minute job but he charged me $50. Is this normal or was I conned? I don't mind paying as long as I wasn't conned.

Thanks

I don't think it's a matter of being conned as it's up to the owner to charge you of they want to for a service.

In my personal opinion, that's just a really cheap thing to do and shows that it's not worth ever going back to someone who is so cheap that they have to charge for something so simple.

A good Hobby shop would never change fore something like that.
