Angry F201 bearing

What the heck??? F201 comes with metal shield bearings??? Where are the famous smooth-as-silk Tamiya rubber bearings??? Tamiya is getting cheap!

Tamiya releases the rubber shielded bearings with their higher priced kits like the 414m, m2, Evo2, TRF editions... or you buy the hop-up bearing sets tamiya sells. but they are pricey...

rubber seal ball bearing has more friction. metal shield has much less friction but easy to get dirt in it.

you need to bath the F201 bearings as they put heavy gease into it.

In general,

Rubber seal bearing is for off road
metal seal bearing is for on road

I have only seen the ABC AE86...and it is very rare and around $2xx when I last saw it.......in Japan! Although I have seen it in HKG a long time ago....don't know if there has been another batch imported in??
