yupyup...just slide a saddle pack, 6x1 and solder the wires directly onto the batt...or bend the batt bars and add the corally connecters...

ky, manticore, thanks for your help today on my SX12, after running 1 ltr of 16%, it works a bit better now. but still, hard to start and not so stable.

i will do the following to see if it can improve :
/1. parallel connect the 12V power supply to the starter box motors instead of serial connect.
/2. open the engine, and clear it using motor clear, then re-lube it using after run oil
/3. add a 1.5mm shim to the engine

i did also find an old piston (from my RB X12 turbo) which can be replaced too, but let's see if the above help !

You found a source for replacement pistons???? where? where?

I think it is such a big rip off having to buy sleeve and piston in one set.....don't believe for a minute that they are 'matched' just compare my 'matched RS' and my 'matched RB 5 port' both ran 5 tanks and were as loose as hell!!!!!! ( good compression but no piston lock!!! )

I tell you.....my Alfa really does have 'SOUL' ......on the way back from PYC it decided to play up....I think it knows I am trading it in!!!!

The cooling fan stopped working and the car almost overheated. Played about with the sensor connectors and it was ok again. The really wierd thing was that I was going through Wan Chai at the time. With my first Alfa 164/8 I had exactly the same problem....at exactly the same point on the road. Tonight I stopped the car at exactly the same spot!!!!!! This is exactly the same problem on two different cars occurring at exactly the same patch of road....with about 3 years in between the incidents..........I think I am going to buy the mark six on Monday!!!!!!!
