haha....are you still trying to figure out this conversion thing!!??? The kawa conversion that you are talking about (axles and hex) still comes out at about the same price

Just back home from PYC. Wonderful night with uncle Chan and his pals. My KX ran wonderfully with foam tires -- 40F/37R. Not able to come tomorrow since I've a couple of films from film festival to see. Hopefully Sat is a sunny day.

manti,
any suggestions for gear ratio to run on a large 1/8 track. my X12 behaves like a OS TR when racing against Mspeed today at the track.

Yap. A little bit more power consumption. But still more than 6 mins with 9x3 for KX. BTW, 10x2 is much better than 9x3.

kx-one need more accel than top speed due to the drive train.
