I managed to get my battery holder onto the graphite upper deck. Just use a hammer "selectively"!! Just don't ask me to remove it!

hint. You want to be doing this before you install the upper deck onto the car!

Another more troublesome method is to take a dremel to the upper deck. 30 secs spin should do the job!

KY- Why ram you on the side when it is much more fun ramming your car from the back! You know what they say about "slow" cars having more damage in the back!

Does any micro owners find their micros have different left and right turning radius? my car's left turn is much tigher than right turn with standard futaba servo and hitec mini servo, did i miss something important when building the car?

I've just got a Mini Z F1 given to me as a present! Besides the obvious ... like tires, bearings,Xspeed motor... what other options do I need for this car?

Also, what combination of tires is everyone running on carpets?

One other thing... is it me or does the front suspension bind up on the F1... I'm also thinking of getting the steel front hinge pins.

when you centred the servo output and you sacrificed the weight distribution on the chassis.

i found that it's due to that steering rod, the place it holds onto the servo horn bottoms out when turning right making the rod itself part of the suspension and make the sus almost twice as stiff. maybe i use use a normal servo saver and tie rods to replace that thing.

Tried that.... it seemed to make things worse! I think it is the black coating on the kingpins that is rough!

Chop up the back end with a dremel cutter. If you look in the HPI site in their Micro furom, one of the HPI staff did this. However, I would be more tempted to do some "serious" slicing and dicing on the graphite chassis.... chop it right up to the servo position!

I was using Assoicated Black grease (for ball diffs!) Although I may go to the Tamiya friction damping grease used on 1/10 F1s... that stuff is really thick!
