You might have done something wrong with the zapper.

Does this theory apply to ......................

That "most important point" is the one that hurts your pockets most!

Fai: Sorry to hear about your batteries.

Mars: Are your smh the loose cells selling in MK now? I would be interested in the results too... I thought these cells were already zapped?!

Mars/Manticore: I just zapped them with about 40V. I think my 3000s are too old to withstand zapping!!

DTM/Ernest: Now, I have excuse to buy more new packs!!!

dtm: yes, I am processing the loose smh cell I bought in MK. I zapped them, rested one day, then started the first cycle 2 days ago. I won't take the results of this cycle because its just the first cycle after zapping. I plan to do one more cycle thru each cell and use the results of this cycle to do the matching. Though I didn't use the first cycle data, typical figures are 1.15xV , 18-19IR, 520-530 sec. I discharge at 20A and cutoff at 0.9V.

fai: some of my oldest Sanyo cells also died after zapping. I think its because the cells are too old (very first batch sanyo3000 available in HK) and that I didn't give them enough time to stablize before charging again.

fai- Haha... buy some smh while you can. I just ran one cycle of the new smh pack I got. Runtime appears to be lower (535s) but voltage appears to have gone UP! 6.90v avg on 20A discharge. This is just the first cycle so time will tell.

Also, one thing that surprised me was that the charge capacity was 3015mah and discharge capacity was 2972mah.... very close indeed!

These initial results appear to be very similar to what I'm getting with this batch of smhs..... I'm tempted to buy one more pack just to confirm!
