Any of you guys on here own or have had any experience with a Alex Racing Design CE4?

I am having problems with the rear delrin diff. I can't seem to get smooth free spinning diff action. If I set it loose enough where it feels good the pulley just slips and when I tighten it to the point where it is difficult for the pulley to slip the diff action is tight as hell! I have taken it apart and assembled it three times, I haven't got a clue what the problem is. I have assembled delrin diffs on an OB4 and they spun very free but did not slip. I have never had this problem before and I know it is assembled correctly. Any help is appreciated.

glue the diff ring onto the outdrive with the "all purpose" adhesive (not CA). only adjust the diff after the adhesive sit overnight.

Why not use CA?

CA doesnt hold as good as "general purpose" adhesive. Besides, CA dries too fast and leave an uneven layer between diff ring and outdrive.

I use to use CA by putting the ring on and "seeping" the CA between the ring and outdrive. It doesn't stick as well but I liked it because I could "break" off the ring and then scrap the CA off the outdrive... because it didn't stick as well!

Actually- Fender Mender would probably be a good material too because you can "peel" this off the outdrive! Haven't had a derlin outdrive for a long time since the first batch of TC3....... when I went to GPM!!!

One day I will run it again. The problem is that the Q is too long before it gets to the TC3. I bought an original front one-way for it just before I put it into semi retirement, it hasn't been run in yet!
