Manticore: I bought a front one-way (Mugen) for the MTX, what rear diff oil should I use? When I was driving full time 4wd I was using 10,000 in the back and a little more than 10,000 in the front (around 12,000).

Diva: I had a look at the two secondhand mugen centax. The $2xx one looks brand new! But they are old style centax running 'balls'. I haven't run this type of centax but rumour has it the balls wear and the clutch doesn't disengage... any comments Manticore (since you have more history on this than me!!! )

mugen has ball type centax clutch???? mugen make a centax which is actually an improved verison of serpent centax. I dont think mugen has made a ball type centax at all !!

Don't know but they were definately ball type and certainly did not look like the LEO units. Perhaps a hybrid of GPM and Mugen!!!???!!!

no no no...... I just remembered the flywheels were purple without the chamfered silver edges........ they can't have been GPM!!!!

Interesting!! Do you know if the friction plate and gear housing on the HN look like the Mugen centax?

I've just measured the front one-way drive cups dimension on the Xray. They are a straight drop in fit for the Mugen MTX drive cups. Much nicer looking with some weight saving on the rotating mass.... anyone using this already?

make sure it has the correct length or you will either break the CVD or outdrive under an impact !
