Ernest: My new chasis is same as yours... tube chasis! Hara's one is not yet released to the market, but I think they are ready to do that before Christmas!!
In my opinion, I suggest always run with an upper deck... I think the elasticity of the tube chasis will be greatly reduced after running for a few times. So, if you then installed back the upper deck, the whole car will not be so 'rigid' as it should be...

Ernest: I don't think so, if we use HB shock towers, we have to shorten the dampers to at least 60mm (original 64..65mm) or we have to swap to use yoko. dampers. Otherwise, the car will have too much downtravel.
I think I will wait for HPI or square's one...

Yes, someone else ran the HB shock towers without changing the damper length. Ended up with his drive shafts popping out of the diff all night!!

By the way, last Saturday, I had a look at Uncle Chan's SpeedMind. I found that its front ride height is very low, approx. 3.5..4mm and the rear end is about 5mm. The dampers were working very fine, with the front spring a little bit sofer than the rear... I can feel all these with my hands...
I'm surprised that Uncle Chan still has new Daytonas for sale in his shop. I thought they were limited editions to very small numbers! The car does look quite good though!

DTM: yeah, you're right! I also knew that he had put 2 and a half o-rings over the diaphragm!
So, how can I get 2 pairs of brand new Atlas dampers??

Atlas has two different version of damper as far as I know. One type is the set come with the old YM34 which is longer, another type is the set come with the Type T which is a lot shorter !

Most EP cars don't have the upper mount for bumper as what most GP cars do. It induces great pressure to the plastic and the posts upon crashes. Anybody know how to modify? Don't give me the answer "Switch to XRay".
