You can either use the old body as a guide (if you are spraying up the same body). Or cut out only the front wheel arch, drill the body just to line up that wheel arch and then with the body mounted on the car, mark out the rear wheel arch for cutting.

When you mark out the positions for the holes, make sure the body is horizontal, mark and drill the two holes for the rear first, because these are usually higher and the posts will touch the body first. After drilling these holes, mount the body through these holes MAKE SURE THE BODY IS HORIZONTAL again and mark the front two holes out.

Are you having problems with getting the wheel arches to line up or the four posts to line up with the holes?

DTM: well....im having problem lining up the wheels...like...when i trimmed the body, the front and rear wheels fit perfectly...but when i drilled the holes on the body, the front wheels fit...the rear are off, i think from now on, im going to trim the front wheels first, then trim the rear wheels when i have the body on....
