Trust me, you will want to pick up another class. Racing one class can make for a long day. Especially if you break for some reason, you'll have a 5-6 hour wait to try it again (been there, done that). Plus, unless your really good at going fast with minimal practice, you don't get enough track time to feel comfortable with the layout, which means all week you may spend more time moving over than learning and racing.

Of course I'm most likely speaking only for myself.

See you there.

Hey Eric, I know its there's to be going long wait times, but I thought I could do some kind of shopping, omiyage, in between rounds.

Anyway I was thinking of WGT-R, a class that I won't have to true or mount tires there. Never ran the class. Virgin.lol

See U there also!

I'm also still trying to figure out what classes I want to be in the way in. 17.5 1/12, 13.5 1/12, amateur sedan, stock of GT, wgt-r, or F1. I still don't own a F1, but I can get one from Apex.

Well, booked my hotel and now just deciding on classes. So far, its looking like 12th scale Stock, Amateur Sedan and Stock Sedan. Just trying to swallow the $450 entry plus cost of the 12th scale tires.

You really only need 2 sets of 12th tires, there is very little ware in the 17.5 class. You will be busy running 3 classes, but it's worth the track time as long as no major breakage.

Last week I realized I didn't have any bodies for my 12th scale So I got 2 coming in this week and got to mount and paint. Also, need to put my 12th scale back together.

Quark, are u going to run a aluminum chassis for 12th scale? I'm just going to chance em with my CF chassis.

Also, can't get on to Apex's website. Does Danny still have the business?

Never knew about Aluminum chassis for 12th scale, I have a TOP. Probably not as I'll likely sell it right after IIC. My Sedan though, thinking about it along with graphite arms, basically all the stiff stuff.

Danny mentioned that the new carpets they run, folks running less than 40mm on the tires, which leaves very very little on the rim. I don't really need to run it like the pro's, but I also don't want to have people dodge me. lol.

Danny still has the site, just looks like his SSL certificate expired.
https://www.apexrc.com/en/

three classes cause I really wanted to try 12th scale on carpet, it looks really cool I think, and Sedan two classes for the track time, plus I can literally run the same car in Amateur and Stock. Seems like a lot, but figure since its like 10+ hour days, I should be fine, barring any major breakage.

I was going to add WGT-R, but seems bodies that I want are not available. And bodies that are available are mostly 190mm. I was looking at Pro 10, but I might be to slow and in the way and I don't want to be truing tires all night.

You'll already moved to Vega$ or you're in the IIC?
