This weekend will be my first time at HCRCR, can anyone give me a heads-up for things to be aware of like..

What time do the gates open?
What time are sign-ups?
Are there electrical outlets spread out or do I need to park in a certain area?
Is there a tire washing station and/or compressed air?
Does anyone sell parts at the track?

I figure this will be a well-attended race and with the early morning start, I just want to be prepared and not running around that day trying to figure stuff out. Thanks!

I wish the start time wasn't so early. Doesn't give us guys coming down on Saturday anytime to practice with the 9 am start. May not go now

When a good crowd is expected 9 am start time is correct IMO. If you start any later we will be there all night.

It is also not fair for the racers that get to the track at 6am.

Last race no compressed air. Tire washing station is located next to the driver stand and power is available behind the driver stand and on the right side by the playground.

Not sure what the gate opens but it is usually early.

Easy to say when you don't have a 2 hr drive.

If you start early or get done late people are not going to be happy either way. Unfortunately that's the nature of the beast. Starting early is better in my opinion so that your not there till after midnight. It's better for most folks driving long distance to leave early to get to the race then start later, race all day, and then be tired as heck on the drive home because it's so late .

Not getting much practice on race day does suck but that's why they have it on Friday. If you live a good ways from the track then you should maybe think about staying down there for the night. There are a lot of descent hotels right down the street from the track. If you can get a couple other people to chip in it wouldn't be too bad on expenses.

9am is going to be tough for me as well, but need to get used to driving with little sleep for PNB anyway

I hate getting up early as much as anyone but if it's start early or finish late, you might as well make use of as much daylight as possible.

I don't mind getting up early but not being able to practice is what I don't like. Most places start at 11 or 12. Some of us don't have the money to spend on a hotel room for a series race. Especially with big race like pnb coming up.

How's it looking for Saturday still? It's supposed to rain today and 70% chance tomorrow (Friday, 3/7)

I'm really hoping the weather holds back, because I think it'll be a great event!

Track handles rain well. Track was dry last night after the rain night before. That being said, any track can only hold out to so much rain. I will watch the weather closely and post up and changes. But as of right now we are on schedule. The forecasts I read say light rain...we'll have to wait and see.

Friday at lunch time will be the deadline to making a decision.

Current Event Schedule:
Practice:
Friday 6-10pm
Sat 7-8:30am
Race:
9am Start!
