We have decided to eliminate the 2wd sct class due to a decline in turnout over the last few years. With the growth of the electric buggy class we felt the need to add a sportsman group for that class. There has also been a large amount of racers requesting an age 40 and over class. This class will allow any racer 40 years or older an oppurtunity to race Their normal sportsman and or pro class and also race with guys who are 40 or older. You may also elect just to run the 40+ class if you prefer.

We anticipate making these changes for the 2014 PNB as well.

While Gene ran some laps with a 1/10th buggy at the track last year its not typically the type of track the average person would want to run a 1/10th buggy on

I'm just hoping that whatever DirtGlue/Soil-Tac compound used this time, is applied to the entire upper layer of dirt used, instead of just sprayed on the surface after being packed. If anything, it should be sprayed into the loose dirt prior to running any type of packing equipment over the surface.. Raked.. Applied again into the fresh layer of dirt brought to the top, from just raking. Let it sit for an hour or two, then run your packers over the surface. After that, then spray a final coat onto your finished running surface and apron of the track.

Two things you want to keep in mind doing that...

- Use a 1/2 mixture of the DirtGlue/Soil-Tac and water. One part glue, two parts water. So the solution covers more square footage, and so you don't 'gum up' your equipment.

- The point of mixing the spray into the dirt prior to smoothing out and packing your running surface, is to actually 'work' the solution into the dirt itself, versus just spraying it onto an already packed surface. It won't absorb any deeper into the packed surface than a 1/4" or less. Think of it as adding insta-cure concrete mix into regular concrete mix.. You won't want to apply the insta-cure stuff to your freshly poured sidewalk, do you? You want to mix it into the raw concrete mix, itself.. THEN it'll cure the mixture as a whole, not just the uppermost top layer.

This will give you a near bullet-proof running surface.. 100x stronger and more resilient than at PNB VI, yet still easy to tear apart with tractors after the event.

Just my $0.02 - Trust me on this one.

Okay, just saying! Seeing that y'all still had a 275 gallon tank left, full of DirtGlue, and how badly the Wicked Weekend track blew out and chunked last year, making a dust storm in the pits.. Lol

Awesome race last year in the 1/8 pro buggy A-Main against Team Mugen driver Shay Brand and Team Associated pilot Brandon Melton. Enjoy!!

It will also give the guys who have never been an idea of what last years track layout and conditions were like. This year we will be using the whole arena so lap times should be around the 40 second mark.

WHAT??????? Wicked Weekend Blowing OUT??? We're you at the same race? that had to be one of the best racing surfaces we've raced on in a very long time... The only parts that were rough were the parts we made rough....

I mean last time I checked we did race Off Road....

The problem is a lot of younger racers have been spoiled on blue groove asphalt racing surfaces with a few 6 inch jumps... This is off road brother!!! It's supposed to get rough, that's what separates on road from off road.... I'm not saying that rough tracks are your cup of tea, but in all fairness, we don't complain when we go to a track and its butter smooth.... That's when everybody is fast..... Now go to a rough track and that separates the fast drivers from the ones who get on rctech and complain about a track being to rough....

Then don't pack any of it, brother, like we use to. We don't need no stinking foam inserts, either.
