Maybe at the Sugar Bowl, search this forum for "Sugar" and you should see some info on it.

Not that I'm currently aware of. There just isn't any place big enough in GA to let them open up and rip right now thats open.

I think Newnan hobbies was going to try some 1/8th on-road but I never heard if they got anything going or not. they are very scarce on the forum

Matt,

There is 1/8 and 1/10 on-road racing at Sugarbowl. There will be a group of guys there this Saturday running (7/14).

Email me at [email protected] and I will get you the phone # for Steve Pitts who is coordinating the get-together.

For everyone's info - The owner of the Sugarbowl has officially given us permission to race there. All that is asked is that we sign a "hold harmless" agreement that relieve him from any liability in the unlikely event that you get hurt on his property. There is a combination lock on the gate and the people who have signed the agreement have the combination.

The property will at some point be developed and when that happens the tracks will be destroyed. There are no plans to begin this development for a number of years so we should be able to continue to use the tracks in the future.

I ran there today and had a good time.
The Drifter group was there. Good turnout.
I had an 1/8 scale drifter running , did great once i got use to the surface. All other Drifters were 1/10 scale.
There was one 1/8 scale set up for on road there. The track is tight for an 1/8 scale but runable.
Next time I go i'm going to run my 1/8 on road there......
