10th scale 2wd buggy and 2wd SCT are the 2 biggest classes. I do think you can run the VXL in either class.

4x4 would be preferred..Whats the biggest class turnouts?

I just dumped a pile of dough into my rc8be and would like to build a 1/10 scale as well, but using my old motor esc would help a lot...

The motor is the Velineon 3500 brushless motor, 10 turn..

Thanks
More than likely SCT would be the best followed closely by 1/10 buggy.

And I can run that motor in 1/10 buggy and SCT 2wd? I skimmed the rules and it looks like most classes require 13.5 (turn?) motors...The traxxas one is a 10t..

I will buy a motor if I have to, but i'd like to be in the class with the most people no matter what type it is..

you can run it. 13.5 is the mod limit to the class, but you can run that system. Heck you can even run the bandit in the buggy class if you want, we have one that runs from time to time and does quite well with it. That goes for the indoor and the outdoor track.

Ok, thanks for the info....The bandit has gone to the plastic car grave yard in the sky...I saved all the electrics, but the chassis was just beat to hell and back..

It spent most of it's life running 3s, doing wheelies and cartwheeling down the road..

We kind of let newer people run what they brung for a little while so they can slowly invest there money into getting what they need to conform to the rules.. Hobby town tends to sell people all kinds of crap and then whomever bought it doesn't have the money to buy the right stuff and we let them slide for a while.

No offence but 9 times out of 10 people cant handle the higher power stuff as well as people with the lower powerd motors. We tend to build our tracks with the infield being technical enough that having too much motor can slow you down as much as not having enough.

I'm Adam by the way and 9 times out of 10 I'm the lackey behind the counter
