So, I am fixing to order 4 sets of clay Sweep Nonslip tires. Is the wet track still the plan and if so how do we know clay is correct? I have 2 cars and need a set for each. The average person will spend well over $100 to do this. Wheels, foams and tires. LMK

Will the always-wet track mean that the surface will soften up enough for barcodes and other treaded tires would work? I may just have to suck the first few times and try out what I have before ordering 2 new sets.

I feel the same way. I have lots of treaded tires and only 1 pair of slicks so I'm waiting as well to see what it's going to be like!

Why be frustrated? Bring a couple different compounds and roll. It will be a learning curve for all. That's the fun part right. Worst case situation you don't get TQ or the win. Nothing wrong with the runner up spot. To each is own amigo.

Brian, if you want to play it safe next time you come down, just bring a pair of super soft and clay compound for your 2wd and 4wd buggies, for right now.

We're starting to get a feel for the damp clay and working on improving that program for everyone.. A couple of the goals are to do away with the dust, improve traction consistency around the track, and take slicks out of the picture. For the meantime though, we'll more than likely be running the track damp, from here on out, with our 'damp program' improving with every club race ran, as we dial it in and fine tune everything.

Slicks will be the tire of choice until we completely tear down the track before the regional race, the green soft surface will take a treaded tire!

Until then the surface in like concrete, tread wont work as well!

As long as I am running the WED night (CLUB RACE) program I have no problem with folks using slicks! I will NOT be enforcing a NO slick policy
