I asked Gene about this last night. He said that nothing was set for this yet. The date might change.

I was curious as well as the current date is on a weekend I have off. I don't have to meddle with my schedule to be able to run on a Saturday that week and I always have Sundays off.

Well, the date scheduled right now is the 28th or 29th. That could change. We just have to wait and see. I can do either that weekend.

I'll let Adam and Tina plan it out. Shaun and myself only run the races not plan them

And I was waiting on Gene's input Its going to stay a regularly scheduled sunday race. Most people seem to want it that way and it leave us with the whole parking lot with the exception of in front of the tattoo place. Saturday would restrict us a little I'll get to adjusting the website tommarow. I'm trying to enjoy a first day off in 3 weeks

I have a fairly serious question about this race. I'm still a little nervous with our new found overhead that running one of our only 3 races this month as a 100% benifit may hurt us a little bit. Does anybody have an issue with it being a 75% to the clinic and we keep 25% to make sure we can pay the light bill next month? we still dont know how ugly running all 3 air units is going to be, and I havn't talked to Gene about it, so nobody be mad at him. This is all my asking right now, Gene looks at this race as my puppy but I dont want it to bite him in the rear either.

Well, this is the thought I had a few days ago and I forgot to mention it to you.

I was thinking this race should be more memorial and less benefit this year. While it is great to do things for charity, it isn't always practical. I would run the race as a memorial this year and bring it back as both next year after TTIRH is established better.

How bout setting a threshold of what the break even would be. Anything over that goes to the Charity.

Exactly. Most any business that isn't fully bank rolled would do it this way. I think its wise, and charitable. I actually would have thought that thats the way it was until you said different.

do it!

Last year, everything we took in from entries, concession sales, and the raffle was given. The entire payday from the event.
It was only after the event we found out that most charity races give over the cost to run the event and not the total event take

Shame on you for being overly generous! The world might actually be a better place now!

Don't worry, I boiled some pasta and thrashed myself with a wet noodle over it

But yea, we were happy to give, same as this year. Its a worthwhile cause, one dear to our hearts.

I will not be able to make it It falls on our yearly trip to Blue Ridge to spend time at a cabin. It is the only time of the year I am completely unplugged from technology.

I hope to hear some great racing stories when I return.
