I guess it's alright if you race this week. You earned it with all the work you did to make last weekend a success.

If your letting Gene race can I sit under the drivers stand with you and ask stupid questions about touring cars?

What's a touring car?

FordGT40 06-17-2010 06:39 PM

I was just thinking today how ironic it is that someone who loves RC as much as Gene obviously does, and puts all of his money (well, hopefully not ALL of it, but you know what I mean), time, blood, sweat, and tears into building an awesome track at his house and then he ends up working while slackers like me are racing. Same goes for Tina, Adam, and Shaun. Thanks for giving us a great place to race guys!

FERNANDO.G 06-17-2010 07:16 PM

Not yet..One more weekend and we will be back to play...Sooooooomuchhh going on it's scary....

ADAN 06-18-2010 08:32 AM

What classes do they run? I just got a Jammin SCRT 10 and looking for a cool place too race. Is this place indoors or out? Do they have elect outlets? Are they open during the week?

Hey Adan, Turltetrax is great place to race! It is outdoors, plenty of power outlets, and I think your Jammin' is four wheel drive. There are at least five guys with 4x4 SCT's. We run 1/10 buggy, 1/10 SCT and 4x4 SCT. Come on out and have some fun!

Those pictures from last week and watching the buggies at HT really reminded me of when I raced my old B2....

SCT looks cool. Which truck should I get? Will a KO Bmc be ok?

FT SC10 and yeah the KO will do fine in offroad.

Team Turtle 06-18-2010 08:08 PM

Remember racing tomorrow starts at 4PM not 2PM. Track will open at 12PM. See yall tomorrow.

ShaunMac 06-18-2010 08:26 PM

A KO was in the buggy that won the GA Champs race. You don't need crazy timing in off-road. So far, I've liked my SPX best for off-road. Smooth as butter and plenty fast.

FordGT40 06-18-2010 08:34 PM

Wish I could make it tomorrow but I'm doing a motorcycle ride and then leaving for Daytona on Sunday. See you guys next week!

Team Turtle 06-19-2010 07:11 AM

Bout to head down to prep the track see you guys in a couple hours. Weather looks good for an evening race lets hope the later start helps with shade and moisture.

BrentH 06-19-2010 07:55 PM

Thanks for putting up the forcefield today! It was actually pretty nice out! Running those heat races were great! See yall next Saturday!

Atomicsickness 06-19-2010 08:15 PM

Had a great time as always. You folks really take care of us 10th scale racers.

ShaunMac 06-19-2010 08:25 PM

Thanks to everyone that came out. I think we had a pretty good time today. ;)

FATKAT 06-19-2010 08:54 PM

rcko 06-20-2010 06:29 AM

what size BL motor and pinions should I pick up for running SC10 2wd?

Tires: are the kit stock tires ok or are there others? Are these available at the onsite shop?

Thanks, looking fwd to get back into offroad...

It depends what speed controller your running. If your running a Speed Passion GT2.0 or a Tekin RS than a 17.5 duo2 is the way to go, with the boost you can get all the straight away speed of a 13.5 but its got a smoother bottom end to keep you from sliding in the infield.

If your running a speedo without boost than you'll want to go the 13.5 route to get the speed in the straight that the guys with the better speedo's can run. Also the Duo2 is the motor to have.

We allow anything up to a 13.5 brushless but I prefer the 17.5's just because there a little more smooth and will be more apt to point people in that direction. Some others prefer the punch of the 13.5 but are a little more able to drive it than I am, I acctualy put down faster lap times with the slower motors

As for tires, JConcepts Goosbumps are the best place to start. They seem to work in all conditions at TT. The next tire I would look at would be the new DoubleDee. They seem to work really well too. I have not tried them myself, though.

All the JConcepts tires and wheels for SCT are available in the TT hobby shop.
