My guess then is you either have a bad RX or a bad RX battery. Does it use a 5cell hump or flat? I have a spare flat pack you can try out on Sunday if you'd like.

I think that the NTC3 uses a flat pack

Thanks everyone for helping the rookie out. All I accomplished Sunday was seeing how woefully unprepared i was for a day of racing. BUT, I have officially caught the bug. See yall next weekend.

Just an idea- since the Xray can run Mugen gears, maybe switching to the Mugen 1.0 pitch from the smaller 0.8 pitch will help prevent the gears from stripping. This would require changing the pinion gears and I don't know if Mugen pinions will fit an Xray bell so you may have to change clutch bells too.

The bigger teeth of a 1.0 gear may be just what you need.

NOTE - TRoy said you now hold the record for most gears stripped in one day. He was the former Champion.

Thanks for the input. It seems the issue the entire time was the bolts holding the engine to the mount were a little too long and there was movement. I put in shorter screws and walla was able to run a qualifier and 9min of the main with out stripping a gear. Gear still looks almost new.

Woohoo I knew if I stuck to something for long enough I'd be champion.

7 stripped 1st gears
1 stripped 2nd gear
