Experimental 1/8 Electric Buggy (Exibition Class Only - No Points)

Is there anyone who is going to run an electric 1/8 buggy in the GCS this year. I hope i'm not the only one. I plan to run the Slash class and hope to run my 1/8 E also.

IF 1/8th electric buggy takes off I will get one. I think the class has potential.

Gonna race them regularly? I am seriously considering buying one in the next couple of weeks.

Good to hear that Ryno. If we make a good showing this year we should get our own class next year. I know PNB is thinking about an electric class next year too. I'm going to try and make all of the GCS races this year.

The cars are totally awesome they jump like they have wings instant power and i know a few more guys in Dalton that are interested. Mine has the 21oo kv motor on it went down from 16 to 14 on pinion and put losis heat sink on mine made a world of difference i see easy 15 minuite mains. With plenty of power.

Ryno 67 03-06-2009 07:48 PM

Although i might try the 1700 kv motor Adam Drake says with the right battery it has more torque and longer run times??

Are you running 4s ?
I have the Castle-Nue 2200kv running on 5s. It's de-tuned as much as i can and it's still off the hook. 20 min run times no problem.

:) Wow, thats funny how in 2009 we were wondering if the the 1/8-E would takeoff...Now its one of the biggest classes !

......remember the slash class, ah good ol days

If I remember correctly Dalton was the only GCS race that had enough E-racers to run. Savannah I was the only one as was the case at most other races. Now it's a different story. I'm happy the class is growing.
