Default Coming back into the hobby

Well first off i want to thank the guys at Dalton RC for being so helpful when i was previously racing there before i took by break. Ok well here is my question, I've been gone for about 6 months due to money troubles as a kid. So what is new in the Rc world, More importantly whats new with the local tracks such as doins, Dalton, and all the other surrounding areas.

Well LiPo and Brushless are all the rage and for good reason. I race onroad at the Nexus indoor track in Marietta and also outdoor asphalt at Primetime in Calhoun.

I think right now is the most exciting time to enter the Hobby. There are so many options and with each buggy, (all the new ones) are all great choices. I think these days to choose any one of them you can't go wrong. Parts are plentiful as well. The 808 seems to last longer with regards to parts, the losi always seems to go through parts, not sure if the 2.0 has helped with that. The MBX6 is getting rave reviews from my customers. The D8 has a problem breaking a rear dog bog in the rear. I have had several customers have this issue.

If you need help please don't hesitate calling us at ModHobby.com, ask for Ryan or Alex. I am sure the guys at Dalton can help you out too, they are great guys!

I am not sure what other people running these days but I ran the Dynamite 053 with mine when I ran a GoTech 3-port. JP-3 pipes seem very popular as well, but they are more expensive.

I've been racing the Dalton Battlefield series and i run a losi 8ight i like being able to get whatever piece of the car i want off the wall at dalton and i also think is is one of the better cars on the market. Just got a new losi 8ight 2.0 and ive been running a cheaper motor a jammin 21 its been good enough for me some of the big boys have been running GRP engines there bad to the bone. But with any decent car if you keep up the maintance on one say Losi,associated,808,mbx5,6,hotbodiesd8,just to name a few i think a good driver could do well with any of them cen, odonnell, and so on. But i personally still favor losi.

its an xs3 and yes its a good radio as its synthesized. if you have a frequency conflict you can change the frequency to an open channel. Its however not the latest and greatest which is 2.4ghz technology which doenst deal with crystals at all.
