The TCS thing sounds awesome but I know not a darn thing about it, other than you cant use any non Tamiya parts. Are there restrictions on electronics too? Radio and ESC? Are most TCS races using the booch?

http://www.tamiyausa.com/articles/ln...CS%20rules.pdf

all the rules are listed there.

The only classes using the bootch are Mini, Spec, and GT3. Electronics are free game. You can use any servo, ESC, and receiver. In GT2 you can use any 27T Brushed or 13.5 brushless motor. In GT1 you can run any 19T or any 10.5 brushless motor. Batteries are slightly limited... but pretty much any battery you can run locally will work (This includes lipos up to 5000mAh) The rest of the rules are specific to each class.

Thats pretty cool. And for a race like that I dont see it as that big of a deal to build a car just for the event.
